Escape the rat race & set your clock to Hokianga time at our peaceful tunnel house. This quirky, iconic property sits on a hill overlooking the upper Hokianga Harbour in Rawene - Far North and is a great place to base yourself to explore the wild and untouched Hokianga. Opononi is less than 15 mins drive great swimming, stunning walks & fishing. You can also take a boat to the famous Opononi sand dunes where you can go sand boarding. Tane Mahuta and the Waipoua Forest 40 mins away.

Vineyard Glamping Russell - The Syrah Shack

Hidden inside native bush is our glamping hut named 'the syrah shack', which is nestled behind our syrah vines. The location is 10 minutes out of Russell township, in the Bay of Islands. You will have a vineyard, cellar door and eatery 1km from the hut. Escape your worries and get off the grid in our eco retreat. Enjoy the luxury of a super king bed and the serenity of an outdoor camping style kitchen, hot shower, composting toilet and the best bit is an outdoor bath for two!!

Treehouse in the Forest Canopy | Reclaimed Kauri

Wild Forest Treehouse Like a magic carpet ride in the canopy of the forest. A 120 year old Kauri villa was about to be torn down. We rescued the French doors, sarking, weatherboards, windows, flooring and shower fittings, then used them to build Wild Forest Treehouse. A space nestled into the forest slope, so that with all sets of French doors open, you're not looking down at the canopy. You're living inside it. Everything has had a life before this place. You can feel it.

Ahipara Surf Breaks

My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids). We have easy access to the property with a lock up double garage plus off street parking (even for a boat). The beach is only a short walk from the house. We live in a house on the same property so we are always available to help with any questions you have. Surfboards and boogie boards are available for use free of charge.
