The Shoemakers Cottage has undoubtedly one of the best locations in Whitby right at the bottom of the 199 steps tucked in a quiet alley off the cobbled street. A small but cosy romantic cottage over 3 floors close to the harbour, the abbey and very close to Tate Hill Beach. BBQ and picnic basket set provided. Romantic victorian freestanding bath in the main bedroom. Arrival is down the busy cobbled church street. Best location. On-street parking scratch card provided in the W zone 10min walk.

Wrap up warm and step outside with your dog to enjoy your exclusive dog field, then crunch through fallen leaves, wander forest trails and discover quiet valleys and windswept beaches. Find a cosy country pub for lunch before heading home to Woodpeckers Cottage. As dusk falls, put your feet up, enjoy the warmth and stillness, then step outside to marvel at the North York Moors Dark Skies.

The Boiling House, Beckside

Boiling House is a truly unique, beck side property located in Staithes. The original building has been an integral part of village fishing heritage for many years. Where the log burner now sits, the original boiling tanks sat, a real piece of history. It benefits from double height ceilings, to create a real feeling of space, and is split level with only three steps between floors. As the only property in the village with french doors opening onto the beck side, it really is a place to savour.

Coach House Cottage a perfect seaside retreat

Coach House Cottage is an old Fishermans cottage above what used to be a stables and coach store (Now a dinosaur and fossil museum). Well situated, above the main street, in the lower part of Robin Hoods Bay it is moments from the beach, the dock, and the hustle and bustle of village life. The cottage is approached along cobbled alleys and/or up a series of stone steps. It is set in its own private back alley. Due to its location our much loved cottage is not for you if steps are an issue!

A lovely self catering holiday apartment,sleeps 2 and dogs are welcome. It’s situated above the lovely laurel inn pub. The kitchen/lounge area has WI-FI,recliner and easy chair,and a table and chairs. The bedroom has a quality double bed,hanging space and a smart t.v. Bedding and towels are provided. The bathroom has a shower,toilet,sink and a heated towel rail. ACCESSIBILITY- we are sorry to say that our rooms are not suitable for those with limited mobility,due to the steepness of stairs.

Summerfield Bungalow

Summerfield bungalow is located just outside the village of Hawsker, midway between Whitby & Robin Hood’s bay. The bungalow is private, detached, not overlooked & is spacious, bright with stunning views from every window. From the front you can see Whitby Abbey and harbour, from the side there’s a lovely view of All Saints church approx 20 metres away & from the rear there are uninterrupted views of the Yorkshire countryside. The gardens extend to around a third of an acre and are secure.

The Old Dairy a cosy gem in Scarborough Old Town

This is a stylish and peaceful hideaway by the sea, nestling in the beautiful old town area of Scarborough. Dating back to 1730 this Georgian town house was the Dairy for the Old Town. The fully self contained basement flat has been renovated to a very high standard. There is underfloor heating throughout, and a wood burning stove in the living room. The flat has a living and dining area, breakfast bar, fully equipped kitchen, contemporary shower room and very comfortable double bedroom.

Chapel Cottage - Fylingthorpe - Robin Hoods Bay

Chapel Cottage is a charming, pet friendly, 18th century cottage. It sleeps 4. A short and easy walk from Robin Hood’s Bay, convenient for anywhere locally. Difficult to believe that Chapel Cottage was part of the former Methodist Chapel in the village (at least until 1900). John Wesley was reputed to have preached here in the 1790’s. A strenuous 54 paces to the village Pub and shop (depending on your leg length), its still only less than 10 minutes to the top of Robin Hood’s Bay, bank.

Hilda Cottage is a 17th Century dwelling. The front door enters to the living area, downstairs is the kitchen. Upstairs is a double bedroom (WC ensuite) with sea views, and main bathroom, the top floor is the loft bedroom (double & single bed) and sea views! The stairs are narrow & steep, see photos If you're after old and quaint, Hilda is your girl, if you're after new and modern, she probably isn't 💗 No private parking or garden, see 'other details to note' section.
