A Secret Garden on Jackson: Violet Room

A Secret Garden on Jackson is a beautifully restored Victorian home. As a family-owned and operated B&B, our mission is to bring together family and friends, and share the best of what Lexington has to offer. We are within walking distance of Historic Downtown Lexington, W&L, and VMI, and a short drive away from SVU. We have comfy beds and delicious breakfasts, and accommodate food sensitivities. We hope you feel at home when you stay with us while exploring Lexington and Rockbridge County.

Our cabin was originally a grainery. We moved it to sit on a wooded knoll on our working sheep farm. Mornings can be spent relaxing on our front porch while watching lambs play. We offer a firepit and outdoor furniture to better enjoy the peaceful seclusion of our slice of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Guests are just 10 minutes to downtown Lexington, Virginia Military Institute, Washington & Lee University, Southern Virginia University & the Virginia Horse Center. The owner is a VMI alumnus.

Historic General Store B&B (The Entire Place!)

Country stores were once the center of rural and business life. This place is no ordinary rental. The vibe is part pool hall, part jail (seriously!), and overall, totally unique. The Old Brownsburg Store B&B is located in Historic Brownsburg, once a stagecoach stop between Staunton and Lexington, and has been modernized to provide all the comforts of home and necessities of travel while still holding onto the feeling that you’ve just walked into an episode of ‘The Andy Griffith Show’.

This second story room within a brand new home has a gorgeous view. You will feel peaceful and relaxed within the quiet of the home. Enjoy your private bath, and our lovely kitchen, front deck, laundry room, dining room and family room. The bedspread may look different than pictures. Because we watch ALL linen each time a guest visits, some comforters have been worn out. You have three adults on the 28 acres here. At least one will be available to help at all times!
