This place was the most perfect place to get away with my husband. We love to hike, and Rob & Jen made many great recommendations. There’s lots of local hikes (20-40 minute drive) along with ones that are worth the drive (1+ hour). There were many sweet touches, including fresh lemon bars from this delicious local cafe (that was also recommended) called Sugar and Bean, fresh eggs in the fridge, and jugs of bottled water for convenience. You could drive downtown and check out stores and restaurants (we ate at the recommended Cuban Burger and it was a hit!). The actual airbnb was so easy to get into, had comfortable seating, towels, bedding, nice shower water pressure, high-end shampoo, a very nice kitchen, and some fun board/card games to play when it’s just too hot/cold outside. Rob & Jen made it a big priority to make sure we felt comfortable, and they even let us use their fire pit and corn hole! Don’t forget to say hi to Sadie and Tucker during your stay! 10/10!! Would come back!!!

We had a very nice stay at Massanutten. Check in and check out procedures were simple and easy to follow. We loved seeing the wildlife.

Wonderful!!! We have such a relaxing weekend at Peter’s place. From the moment waking in we felt relaxed and at home. Peter had jazz music playing and the fireplace ready to go for us. There was plenty of wood available and Peter even provided fire starters for us to use. Peter’s place was spotless, the bath towels were soft and smelled so good. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, we slept so well. We loved the attention to all of the decor. We appreciated the plentiful seating in the living room. The couches were so comfortable and made relaxing so easy to do in front on the fire. The attention to detail and little touches that went into making this place amazing were appreciated. There were plenty of games, books, comfy blankets and pillows. The kitchen is well stocked with a wide variety of pots, pans, baking sheets, cups, plates, bowls, glasses and cutlery. We especially loved the views from all the windows. We can’t wait to return for another visit.

Communication with Isabella was a breeze. She was responsive and friendly. Location was good - just a few minutes to JMU, grocery stores, and restaurants. The place was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The kitchen had all the necessary amenities - stove, oven, fridge, microwave oven, kettle, and coffee machine. There are also washer and dryer which are able to handle big loads of laundry. The bedrooms are comfortable, as were the beds and pillows. Even though the bathroom is small, the shower water pressure is very good. Isabella and Lorenzo provided us with helpful information and recommendations of where to eat and things to do in the area. Thank you 😊

Very cute apartment easily accessed from Interstate 81. It fronts on Rt 11, which seems to get a lot of truck traffic at night, but the bedroom is on the back and is quiet. We were in the area for family business and wish we had longer just to explore the area. When we come back to Mt. Jackson, we will definitely try to book this apartment or another of Donna and Robert’s rentals.

We loved staying here while visiting our college student in Front Royal. Location was great, snacks were very thoughtful and coffee options were nice. There was Kuerig, Nespresso, and a french press. Cute decor. Thank you for the hospitality, will visit here again.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the conductor suite for her birthday weekend. This is a great place to stay if you want to experience Shenandoah National Park. We drove to the park each day to do some hiking and were able to relax at the conductor suite in the evening. We will definitely be coming back!

We had a brief stay at Slavic’s. It is a quick stopover but was nice with a large living area, kitchen and dining area. The bedrooms were perfect and while we didn’t cook, the kitchen is well stocked. You can hear people walking upstairs, including kids, but they were very quiet in the evening and we got a good night’s sleep. Would stay here again as it is just a few miles from the highway.

Thank you Cat and Isaac for welcoming us into your home, You made feeling like we were part of the family, you even shared your wonderful companions Bella and Simba with us (we already miss them and Augie sends his best). Your place has everything that we were looking for: quiet, peaceful, friendly and warming. The views where amazing. Your house is awesome. We can't wait to back in the Fall. Enjoy your summer !!! We had a wonderful stay! The place was cute, had beautiful views, and was the perfect distance from my son’s mountain bike race. It was peaceful, comfortable, and just what we needed. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect for a quick getaway for my friends and I! The best part was being super close to the ski slopes/snow tubing and the late check out. We originally planned on just one day of skiing and snowboarding, but got to get in a couple extra hours with the late check out and close proximity. Thanks Carissa!

The house was perfect and had everything we needed for a great stay. Everything was clean, comfortable, and just as pictured. The host was amazing—so thoughtful and easy to communicate with!
