The Space

Open plan living/kitchen with glass doors out to a generous deck offering fantastic views across Great Oyster Bay from Nine Mile Beach to the Hazards.
Spacious bathroom and two light filled bedrooms complete this beach house making it a very comfortable place to laze away the days or discover what thi wonderful area has to offer.

Freycinet Lodge, Tombolo, Iluka Tavern, Fish & Chips or Edge of the Bay Resort all have scrumptious food using many local products.

Only a short drive away are a selection of wineries showcasing the best of Tasmania's cool climate wines with direct cellar door sales are available.

The beaches on the peninsula are unsurpassed with their pure white sand and turquoise water and are never over crowded.
Being in a Bay, the beaches are calm and child friendly.

Amazing location and the beach is just 100 yards away. Such a lovely house and easy to find in Swanwick. The facilities were good, including a whole stack of DVDs to watch after driving for nearly 4 hours. Some basics like oil, salt, pepper etc would be great as it's not an area where you eat out. Defiantly stop at Coles or Woolies before leaving Hobart or Launceston. I think only seasoned guests are allowed to use the wood burner, which is a bummer as the heaters weren't really enough to make it warm...the blankets in the bedroom were very welcome.

We were only in the Coles Bay/Swansea area for one night. Accommodation was fine .... appreciated being able to access the property a couple hours earlier than the official check-in time, helped as we were booked on a food and wine tour for the day .... great views from the property.

Very clean upon check in. Basic style accommodation. Beautiful view from the front deck and very close to Freycinet National Park for hiking which is why we booked.

I would not be staying here again. One of the reasons I choose to book via Airbnb is to meet the hosts, get some local tips and stay in a home with the basic essentials (e.g. olive oil, foil etc.). This is basically caravan park accommodation, listed on Airbnb, which is fine if that's what you're after. The pros is the location and view - a nice vista over Coles Bay and close to the Freycinet National Park. The cons were dirty glasses & coffee machine, dead animal rugs, lack of basic cooking essentials and "friendly" (a.k.a. passive aggressive) notes plastered all over the place.

We came from another air bnb in Hobart where everything was provided, so we were a little disappointed when we arrived here, for example with no oil for cooking, and the fireplace not available for use. The place was very neat and tidy, plenty of room, all cooking pots/pans/utensils, we slept well even though it was only a double bed. We were a little put off by notes stuck up all over the place instructing us with what we could and could not do. Stunning views of the bay and close enough to Freycinet. Lovely property but we don't feel like it was worth the cost.

My favourite food is fish or a good medium cooked steak washed down with a fine red wine. I also love to follow Aussie Rules Football where I support the Richmond Football Club or better knows as the tigers.
