My apartment is a recently renovated studio. This is a true New York apartment for a real city experience.

As you enter you will see a kitchenette and spacious living space with large comfortable sofa. The bed is separated from the living space by a large book shelf. The bathroom is off the kitchen and accessible from the hallway. The apartment has tons of natural sunlight in the bedroom.

Living room: A sofa bed that converts into roughly a king size bed is available if you'd like to make use of a second bed. There is a 55in TV with netflix, Amazon Prime and HBO. A nice table with chairs are available too

Bed: A full size bed with 32in TV connected to Amazon Prime. I will always include perfectly clean linens for all guests. There is an iron and a small ironing board. There is a laptop desk in the area.

Kitchen: I have most of the basic necessary for cooking a meal including a microwave, toaster, coffee pot, gas range, and refrigerator. The kitchen has pots & pans, water/wine/coffee glasses, plates & bowls, silverware, and knives.

Bathroom: The super-large (for NYC standards) shower is brand new and in perfect condition. You'll find the essentials so you can pack light: shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

Guest have access to the entire apartment with the exception of one locked closet.

Someone will be available 24/7 during your stay if you have any issues. While I'm away, I will schedule someone to meet you at the apartment for check-in. That person will show you around the apartment, answer any questions you may have, and provide local recommendations.

Across the street from fairway supermarket and other convenient stores. Lots of bars, restaurants and movie theaters.

The closest subway is the 33rd Street 6-Line Station. It's very easy to hail a cab if you'd prefer not to take public transportation. There is also a water taxi heading to Williamsburg and Wall Street close by

I certainly enjoyed Moti's apartment, which came with Netflix on a big screen, a good and affordable pizzeria in Rocky's just below and other convenient amenities nearby. The first night was cold, but Moti's friend Gilad was the perfect host who very kindly provided me with a space heater for the remainder of my stay.

The week I spent in Moti´s apartment was by far the worst experience I have had in an AirBnB rental. The day I came there were a couple of plastic bags on the floor in front of the entrance to the building. The entrance hall and the stairs that led to the apartment were very dusty and were never cleaned. The people with whom I dealt kept changing. On the ad appeared Moti who indicated that I would be received by Gilad. However, the person who received me was someone else, who seemed to be an employee who didn´t know the apartment well. It felt as if I was I was dealing with an "organization" that has taken advantage of the appearance of AirBnB in order to create a side business. That feeling was reinforced when I was told that if a neighbor asked why I was there I was supposed to state that I was "a friend of Moti." The person who received me was about to leave me two keys neither of which was able to open the doors that they were supposed to open. Luckily, in this case I was much more thorough than when I chose the property to rent and I insisted on trying both keys before he left. The difficulties with the keys didn't end there. To my dismay, already on the first night I found that the key to the building operated only after you tried to open the door for a long period of time. The following days I found that there was no way to "learn" when the key would work. You needed to keep on trying until it "randomly" worked. The inside of the apartment was not better. After he accepted my offer and my credit card was already billed, Moti warned me that he would lock a closet because he was storing some "stuff" in it. It didn't seem important until I found that, as a result, there was no place for me to hang the clothes that needed to be hanged. The bed was incredibly messy. There was a clean grey sheet on it but, given how crumpled it appeared, it looked as if somebody had just slept on it. The blinds were halfway down, were in a crooked position and it was difficult to move them to make the room look more tidy and to create privacy. Several of the surfaces were dusty. An experience like this one calls into question the AirBnB business model. Had I been in a hotel, I would have simply checked out after the first night. However, in this case I was stuck because I had already paid the full amount of my stay. Clearly, the price/quality relationship was very bad. Whoever is the owner of the apartment must have noticed that I didn't cook anything. I tried to spend as little time as possible in the property. To summarize: "a short vacation in hell".

The place is exactly like in the pictures. Very convenient, (5min) away from the subway line 6. A lot of good restaurant around, cinema and dry cleaning 2min away. Place is safe all the time, a bit busy during the day. Night is quite but get noisy around early morning. Altogether, awesome place perfect for work/tourism in NYC.
