When we're around, we're the biggest advocates of Manchester and of travelling around the rest of the globe so would love to have a chat!
However, please note that we work full time so will be around intermittently during the day, but mostly in the evenings. Dependent on what else is going on in our lives we may not be around for much of your time.
We will leave you custom-made welcome packs so that you get used to the neighbourhood!
The true Mancunian area of Ancoats is a 10-15 minute walk along the canal - meander through this part of Manchester's original industrial heritage and grab a pizza at Rudy's or grab a coffee at the Cutting Room. The trendy Northern Quarter is a 20 minute walk (or 8-10 minute bus/taxi).
If you're a sports fan, the UK National Cycling Centre and Squash Centre are around the corner, with Manchester City's Stadium -The Etihad sitting next door.
The unique location and free street parking excellent connectivity into Manchester on foot, by Metrolink light rail, by bike, Uber, by car and bus.
Public Transport comes in the form of frequent Metrolink rail (Etihad Campus Station 5-10 minute walk, New Islington 15 minute walk) and Buses 76 and 76A which stop outside the house. Both Metrolink and buses connect the house to Piccadilly/Piccadilly Gardens in about 5-10 minutes. The orbital bus 53 runs from Alan Turing Way, connecting the house to North and South Manchester.
Piccadilly Station and the Northern Quarter are around a £4 Uber Taxi Ride Away, while the airport is around £20.
Cycling is probably the easiest option to get to the house. Try the route along Varley Street and the Rochdale Canal to see some of inner Manchester at its best! Piccadilly, Ancoats and the Northern Quarter are a 8 minute cycle, while Victoria is a 10-12 minute cycle.
You can walk to Piccadilly Station in around 25 minutes, again along the Rochdale or Ashton canals.

I love getting to know new cities and new people, especially the adventurous! I'm a self-proclaimed geek about Manchester and like giving visitors my top recommendations.
As a host, I like to provide a warm and hearty welcome and provide advice on what to see. However, I'm happy to let people come and go as they please. All in all, everything is really laid back :)
I'm obsessed with travelling! I've been lucky enough to have mind-blowing times in Iceland, Morocco, Iran, the US, Canada, the UAE and Australia in recent years, but my job has reduced my ability to travel. Meeting guests from new places on Airbnb helps me to keep the travel bug alive!
