In this homestay you have the possibility the stay in a cosy and clean house with a very warm-hearted family. The island is green, quite and perfect for bycicle tours. It is off the beaten track as it is written in the the description (We didn't see other tourists), but with Truc's perfect description to get there from HCM city and to continue our trip to Can Tho, it was very easy to travel. We could enjoy a lot of delicious and fresh vietnamese food! You can do some nice tours together with Truc and relax in the hammocks and/or explore the green island on your own. We really recommend this homestay !!!

Dear Trúc and family! Me and my friend we are at the very beginning of our travelling in Vietnam and it might be hard to find a place like yours again. Such untouched culture, smiling faces and helpful people wherever we go. Thank you for this authentic experience and your priceless hospitality! The house is located on a thiny long alley surrounded by nature and neighbourhood. You can only enter this area/island by crossing the river with the ferry (1000VND/person). You have plenty of alleys and small wooden bridges to explore by bike/bicycle (highly recommended!) and enjoy the most authentical vietnamese lifestyle, you will see and feel by yourself. Dont be shy to get lost or stop for sharing a smile (most of the time you'll need your body-language to communicate). We spent a few hours on the bikes to just explore any path appered infront of us. You can rent the bikes for a really good price. The rooms are simple and provided with van, mosquito net, comfortable double-bed and a window. Bathroom, toilet and the rest of the house to be shared with the family and other guests (if there are). Make sure you bring enough cash for your stay because there's only ATM's for local cards around. I highly recommend this place to anybody who prefers to stay in the countryside, appreciates the precious culture of vietnamese people and keeps awareness about this authentic and non-touristic piece of our world. This is worth one's weight in gold!

The stay with Trúc and her family could not have been more exciting or lovely. We had a fantastic time seeing a large swath of the Mekong Delta, devoid of tourists and filled with rich culture. This was a side of Vietnam that not many foreigners get to experience or see, and it's evident by the curious glances you get, and the many requests for selfies we had from the teenagers in a local festival. Trúc and her family are extremely sweet and caring hosts. We had a good daily rapport, and her mother served some of the best meals we had in Vietnam. A fantastic spread of food—often too much for us to eat alone—was reason enough to visit. We took Trúc up on her offer of a three day tour. While some reviews mention the cost being expensive for the area, we found her curation of experiences and thoughtful inclusion of locals in the experience to be well worth a premium. This is evidenced by our watching of a tour boat go by on the river, from our vantage point of a local private boat. Things we otherwise would have spent an enormous amount of time planning ourselves. This was a memorable part of our trip, and we thank you for the experience and hope to see you again one day!

A little piece of heaven ! If you want to shun tourist, see an authentic piece of life vietnamese of vietnamese people you need to go there. In addition the place is peacefull, charming, have a lot of treasures to discover and above all you host is awesome person reday to help you for anything you want. I also advise to book a tour with her it's the better way to meet the local people and feel the culture of south-vietnam. Last mention : the best cooker of the country live in this house !

The location is indeed " Off the beaten track", the room simpele but clean and Truc and her family very friendly and helpfull BUT the prices of what Truc offers extra do not correspond to this concept for backpackers. The price per person for an excursion in her region is far above the normal prices as well as a diner at her house, although it was nice. Our alternative was to rent the bikes from Truc and explore the island and the near villages on our own with suggestions from Truc of what to visit and eat in local restaurants. We had a great time and experienced the real Vietnam with no other tourists. Nice to know: near the Ferry you can take the local bus to Long Xuyen (approx 45 min) to visit the floating market. Just leave very early because the floating market stops before 8am.

My stay in Trúc's family was my best in Vietnam, and I have visited many cities and villages. It is difficult nowadays to find a place in the country that hasn't been spoiled by tourism. Here, you will live an authentic off the beaten track experience. There are no foreigners around except the ones with whom you might stay with. The house is very clean, with a shared bathroom, and the fan-cooled rooms are simple and comfortable. But what stands out the most from the homestay is the hospitality of the hosts. Truc and her family are such friendly people, they really know how to take care of their guests. Truc knows the area very well, she gave me great advice on places to visit with a bicycle that I rent at her place. She can also offer tours that seem to be appreciated by many guests from the previous comments. Her mother, Dao, is a real pearl, and she cooks absolutely succulent local food. She offers fresh exotic fruits during the day, some of which I have never tried before. The surroundings are quiet (except for the animals in the morning but that is normal in the countryside) and the neighbours are always smiling when you pass by. This is, in my opinion, a must in Vietnam. Cheers to this family that has a lot to offer!
