Everyone says the same, this stay is with a wonderful family, squeaky clean environment, Truc is a wonderful young host & mum is an awesome cook. We were spoiled & overfed at evey meal. Would stay here again in a heart beat. The neighbourhood is curious & friendly. The children are quick to say hello. We were the only tourists in the region. Take a translator app with you & this whole region opens up at another level. We are fit 60's & walked for miles, rode on the back of the scooters, saw crafters at work & local markets. Totally recommend this homestay. Love & peace to all.

Exactly as advertised, but more enjoyable. The environment is very rural, clean and beautiful. Trúc is an amazing host, and her mother is a fantastic cook. Their family is friendly and warm, and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We had a lovely time exploring the nearby area, and we really enjoyed the trips Trúc took us on. I highly recommend this homestay

THREE PERFECT DAYS! Just as advertised, off the beaten track. We did not see a single other tourist for our whole three days exploring the area!! Perfectly adequate homestay amenities, the family really made the stay very special for us. Loved cooking with the Mother every evening, great experience. Language barriers are not noticeable because of welcoming and friendly body language. Local residents of the surrounding island extremely excited and happy to see English people. EVERYONE says hello. Lovely atmosphere cycling around the island. FANTASSSSTIC FOOOD!! having been in Vietnam for one month, this food was consistently the best by far that we have eaten. Iced coffee on tap! Very generous culture. Beautiful scenery, great location. We arrived when Truc the host was working, she had prewarned us and we agreed we were still happy to attend our booking. Her family were so very welcoming and the language barrier was not obvious!! Her younger sister speaks good English if encouraged. We were taken on a free walking tour by the Mother on the day we arrived. Visiting a local house that makes Tofu from soya beans, really cool experience, you feel like no one has visited it before you!! Then a free cycling tour with the younger sister Von where we visited a house making sticky rice rolls and a beautiful pagoda. We went out by ourselves that afternoon, easy island to explore, we cycled maybe 20km the length of the island and back. Very enjoyable, visited an old church and were shown around by the Friar. Final morning we payed $30 to visit the floating market and fish farm, I highly recommend the floating market, as it is totally untouched by the tourist trail and is exactly as said, a floating wholesale for local trade. We ate a good breakfast here served from a boat kitchen. The fish farm isn't necessarily worth a visit, and we missed out the crocodile farm due to time constraints. Many many positive points! Very helpful to organize crossing the border at Ha Tien to Cambodia after stay, takes 5-6hrs plus border waiting time!! Only a very few negative comments; $15 a day for food at her house - expensive for Vietnam, although you do also get the experience and teaching of cooking in a Vietnamese household, and of course unlimited iced coffee. We were glad we took this option due to experience, convenience and fantastic cuisine. Secondly, $30 was a discounted rate for the 4 hour floating market tour, that is usually charged at ?$50. This is probably overpriced, although again worth doing. You could probably organize it alone if you took the cycle bikes for the day, crossed the ferry crossing close to the house. Then ask for a Moto taxi at the other side of the ferry crossing (Rach Sau) to Long Xuyen and there ask for a small boat to floating market. I'm sure Truc will help you with the phrases and I am almost definite this will come to...

Truc and her family were so kind and welcoming. We stayed for 2 nights and had all of our meals at their place. She also offered a tour of the Mekong Delta and the areas around, which was well worth it! Truc's mother is an amazing cook so you won't go hungry! Truc makes sure that you are happy and comfortable the whole time you are there and you really feel like you are part of their family! The experience is authentic as you will be the only tourists around. We recommend their place to anyone looking to get away from the city and experience the real Vietnam! Thank you so much for everything!
