Servicios y zonas comunes
Our guests are more than welcomed to roam the property with the owners. We have tables outside for you to leave your troubles behind and to commune with nature. There are vegetable gardens, dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and goats who call our place home. We welcome folks to take a tour of our farm with the owners. During the summer there is large deck off of the main house. Our sunsets are the best in the area.
Atención a los huéspedes
Having traveled extensively ourselves, we understand what it is like to be a stranger in a strange place. We are very hospitable to our visitors who are new to Austin and the Hill Country. As part of your experience at our place, we serve a hearty farm breakfast on Saturday mornings at the main house. This gives you and us a time to visit if desired. Both owners are native Texans and Austinites and know the city and the hill country well. We can provide you with information and directions to local restaurants, Wedding Venues, breweries and parks. We will be as accessible as you want.
Otros aspectos destacables
Our property is also used for a small community of a tiny house, a couple of RV's and 2 vintage silver trailers. We take pride in our tiny community and love all of our residents who help assist with the vision of the farm. We embrace a minimalist and self sustaining lifestyle. We believe Airbnb is based on community and has provided its users with the unique opportunity to "live like a local." If our property doesn't seem like the right fit for you then we encourage you to look elsewhere.
The cottage will have your basics for a light breakfast. We do serve a full breakfast upon request on Saturday mornings. Please let us know ahead of time if you wish to eat breakfast with us at the "Main House" and I will provide you with the menu of the day so you can decide whether you wish to join us or not. In addition, we would be happy to make a dinner for you for an additional fee. If you wish to have a dinner with us, then let me know ahead of time and we can discuss your personal menu.
Mark and I love hosting our guests meals at the Main House. We are lucky to have many antiques that came with my family from Germany while they were immigrating in the 1930's. Please see the pictures.
Due to our Texas Hotel/Motel taxes, I have increased the price of our listing. This increase will help pay the taxes. We still want to give you a wonderful affordable stay.
We have many people, children and animals living on our place and because of the free roaming chickens on the property we ask that you drive slow down the drive. You will have your own parking and entrance to the cottage.
We love our family farm and we ask that our guests to please respect our place and treat it as if it were your own. In addition, we are a drug and smoke free family so we hope that you will not smoke in the cottage or do illegal substances while staying at the farm.
Please take your shoes or boots off at the screened in porch. It makes it a bit easier for the host to clean.
Due to the many 2 legged and 4 legged creatures that call our place we ask that you drive slow down the driveway.
I along with my husband Mark, own a small family farm (Whitestone Family Farm) outside of Austin, Texas. (Dripping Springs) We love our farm and everything that goes on in it. I have 12 goats, chickens, a large aquaponic system, gardens and are working towards trans farming. In addition we have bee hives.
I have traveled extensively and my favorite past time is to hang out with my two young adult daughters. We love to eat out, drink coffee, hike and visit new places.
Things I can't live without...
1. The word of God
4. Good food
5. Family traditions
I am easy going and my family definitely knows how it is to be a stranger in a strange land. We are very hospitable and will visit with just about anyone. We are very casual, unpretentious and just basic good folk. (I hope)....
