An historical house on three floors, in the center of Posada, with sea views from every window and terrace. The beach, shops, restaurants, old churches, a wonderful town library and the belvedere are all within walking distance. There is parking!

El alojamiento

The living room of Casa Azzurra is the heart of the house: a stone fireplace and a window that opens on the beautiful sandy coastline, which is at a short walk, dominate it. From the living room, through a wooden turquoise staircase - in contrast with the whiteness of the walls - you access the sleeping area with the master bedroom and a small bedroom with a bunk bed in iron. The cabinets and antique wooden ceilings help to recreate an atmosphere of yesteryear, the charm of simplicity that the owner has deliberately preserved in every room of the house. From the bedrooms you can access to a lovely terrace with a breath-taking sea view. In the sleeping area there is also a bathroom with a shower.

Returning in the living room, a stone staircase leads to the kitchen where time seems to stand still. From here you access to a lovely veranda with charming 19th century garden furniture, with wonderful views of the sea and surrounded by a beautiful spacious Mediterranean garden.

The house is absolutely stunning - you have one terrace where you have the most beautiful view on the landscape and the sea. Plus there is a balcony upstairs! The stairs inside are a bit dangerous but apart from that and the tiny, tiny shower, the place was perfect. Very nicely decorated, the kitchen is very well equipped and we loved the location in the old town of Posada. Very close to several beaches and restaurants. We would definitely come back!

If you want peace and quiet AND feel at home right from the very first minute choose this place! I found that for my week long stay I could not have chosen a better starting point to travel to all the beautiful beaches at the east coast of Sardinia! I can add little with regards to the house/ how it is equipped as the description (+pictures) and the review by Ana cover everything in detail. It was very clean with a rustic charm and you will find all you need in the house, including beach chairs and Umbrellas- probably left there by previous occupants. Knowing that Graziela just lives around the corner felt good, even though I never had to contact her about any issues. I do not speak one word Italian and she does not speak English- she was amazingly kind and we could communicate quit well. Parking is very convenient even though you cannot park in front/next to the house as only residents with a parking permit are allowed to park in the narrow streets the house is located in. If you are traveling using a satnav in your car, I would suggest putting in the address of the local (teeny-tiny) supermarket: Via Nazionale, (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) Posada NU, Italien. Right before the supermarket you will find the last/closest parking possibilities (just be aware that you have to pay for parking if you choose to park in the blue lined spots on the little square- everything down the hill is free). From there you have to walk for about 2 minutes until you arrive at the house and I actually always enjoyed the mini walk as the streets are calm and lined by flowers and cactuses. I would (and in fact already have ;) ) recommend this place to all my friends who want to stay away from the noise some vacation spots tend to have- I already plan on returning next year!

We had a great stay at Posada, for a week in June 2017. We were 4 girls. Posada is a very calm little village 40 minutes drive from Olbia airport. The village itself is extremely quiet, not a lot to do, but that was exactly what we were looking for. If you want a lively place, I would not suggest going there. Communication with Giulia was very easy. Instructions on how to arrive were also clear. Once we arrived we met Graziela, a lovely Italian lady who met us at the house and explained everything to us (she lives 100m away, so it was really easy to get in touch during our stay, whenever we had a question). The house itself is nice. Don't expect luxury, but it's very well equipped with everything you need for your stay. The point I had not realised when booking it, (not sure if it was mentioned in the description or not), is that it is a 3-storey house: downstairs you have the kitchen and a beautiful balcony with sea-side and country-side views, then the living room on the ground floor, and the 2 bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. The stairs to go up are extremely steep, not suitable at all for older people or young children. Even us, that are in our 30s, were extremely careful when going up and down. We were constantly getting our flip-flops off to go up and down, as it was so dangerous. The rest of the house was ok, rustic but nice and functional. There is obviously no AC (and no fans either), but at night the breeze coming in from the windows was nice enough to sleep well. There were no mosquitoes so did not have any bug-issues. The kitchen works well, it has a small stove and electric oven. The bathroom is big, however the shower space itself is really small, therefore it was quite tricky not getting the whole floor wet during the shower. However with a bit of attention we managed to do it. Only the last morning we woke up and had no water, but we did not even had to call Graziela, she came proactively and solved the problem in less than a minute! We were also allowed to stay until later the day that we were leaving, allowing us to enjoy half a day in the beach and then taking showers and doing the check-out at 5pm, which was really kind and helpful. I would recommend staying in this flat, just see if the comments above are ok for the kind of holiday you are expecting. Thanks to Giulia and Graziela for a very nice holiday!
