Our country house is very quiet and charming, great for many people or just a couple trying to get away for a few days. We have one bedroom next to the kitchen on the main floor as well as a bathroom off the kitchen and 4 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. There is a finished basement as well. We have a wood burning stove (with a winter supply of wood), dishwasher, gas cook stove, high speed internet and a desk top computer.
The town of Ayers Cliff is 10 minutes away by car and has a good restaurant and grocery store and several bars. North Hatley is 20 minutes away and is fun to spend the day there visiting antique shops etc. Coaticook, a larger town is 15 minutes away. The Vermont border (Stanstead) is 20 minutes away, and Newport Vermont is about 30 minutes from our house, a great place to visit and have lunch or dinner.
NOTE: From June 15-July1, 2015: Available for 2 weeks , email me for special price
We are located near the town of Ayers Cliff to the west and Coaticook to the east and a 20 minute drive to the Vermont border if you are in the mood for lunch in Newport or skiing at Jay Peak. Lots of hiking trails, cross-country skiing, you can even fish in our river in the warmer months. There is farmland across the street, great for walks, playing with the dairy cows or even flying a kite!

My wife and I are both art teachers and have 2 kids and love living in Montreal. We spend most weekends and the summer at our cottage so we can make our apartment in the city available to visitors. When we rent our country house we will stay in the city or travel. We also occasionally rent out our country place when we are travelling (see listing).
We have been artists all our lives, my wife Holly King is a well known Canadian and international artist, and is represented in many private and public collections including the National Gallery of Canada.I am also in the collection and I have published 2 artist's books and I am also a web designer and gardener.
