Very simple, cozy and characteristic apartment located in the iconic and historical neighbourhood of Bica. This is an historical pombaline apartment from the XVIII century perfect if you really want to live the genuine portuguese experience of life.

El espacio
This is a typical portuguese Bica's house. It's an historical apartment in a pombaline building (from the XVIII century) located on the forth and last floor. The building is on a very nice quiet dead end street during all year that turns out to be vibrant and festive during the summer. Perfect spot for the city festivals.

You will feel a very familiar, safe and good environment here where the neighbours are very friendly and helpful. The big plus of this location is that is right in the historical centre and walking distance from the most crowded and busy areas in Lisbon but it is a calm and perfect place for rest itself. So it can be a kind of oasis in the middle all the main city events.

As it happens in all buildings in this old neighbourhood and in historical Lisbon in general, the building doesn't have an elevator and the stairs can be a little steep in some floors since its the 4th and last floor but you can always get help with luggage and it totally and fully compensates the effort when you see the stunning view from the apartment across the city and the river.

The first thing you will notice about the apartment are its doors when you open and enter through the main wooden door that gives you acess to the living room and the breakfast room. All the doors date back to the origin of the building and make up a very medieval look to the apartment as well as the floor itself composed by wooden slats.

The living room is a fairly long division and meet several important components in the house: it has a desk where you can work with your laptop, a large sofa where you can rest and that also converts into a bed single or double, a a high chair where you can read or plan your stay and a
and a table where you can enjoy a nice meal overlooking the Tagus river, the bridge and the beautiful city of Lisbon. The living room also has this great view south.

Both bedrooms are very essencial in space and very simple in concept because the space only contains the bed. One has a double bed and the other a single bed and both has natural lighting from one window placed in the ceiling. This simplicity of those resting nests also highlights the bed comfort equipped with an ideal orthopedic mattress for your perfect sleep.

Due to the essence of the rooms there is a very interesting dressing room equipped with two chests of drawers a large mirror and a closeted area where you can store your clothes and bags.

At Last but not at least there is a room called the "breakfast room" that serves as a support to the kitchen being also directly connected to it as well to the bathroom, where the fridge, washing machine and other utensils such as the toaster, the tea and juice machine. This is a room inspired by the portuguese tiles and you can also have some more quick meals like the breakfast here. The kitchen and bathroom may be essencial in size but they are functional and organized.

¿Dónde me voy a quedar?

Lisboa, Portugal

Passing through the streets near Bairro Alto, one can get close views of the graffiti covered walls and of the locals going about daily lives. Bairro Alto is known to be the oldest district in Lisbon and a very popular area for pulsating nightlife.

The funicular that climbs Rua da Bica and connects the lower area (Cais do Sodré) to Bairro Alto does some of the most fascinating sights along its 200 metres way. This scenic ride in the Elevador da Bica Lisbon area serves as preview of amazing views of Tejo river as the funicular eventually pulls into the Miradouro de Santa Catarina where you can find one of the most stunning views to the harbor of Lisbon and to this peculiar Bica area, adapted to the slope with a network of steep streets and stairs that build its unique personality.
