Atención a los huéspedes

We are happy to meet you and show you the farm. Best to arrive while there is daylight. The countryside is truly dark when the sun goes down. Great for stargazing. There are walking trails around the pasture, through the arboretum and at the Tibbits Nature Sanctuary nearby.
We can provide a simple farm breakfast between 8-9am.

Otros aspectos destacables

This is a barn on a working farm. We will dust and vacuum before your arrival, but are unable to guarantee a dust and dirt free environment. The furniture is old and worn. It ain't the Ritz. But if you've always wanted to sleep in a barn, this is your chance. The natural world surrounds you.

Awesome place! Robin is super friendly and makes you feel at home the second you arrive. Definitely would recommend if you're looking for something comfortable scenic and peaceful.

Robin and Greg were wonderful hosts. Robin took time to greet me when I arrived and showed me around their beautiful property. We enjoyed engaging conversation about the history of their farm, traveling, food, education, and MI/TX culture. The barn was clean and cozy - perfect for some quality reading time and a good night's rest. Also, fresh eggs and hot coffee in the morning are tough to beat. I had a very memorable time here and would definitely recommend this place to anyone craving a unique experience with some lovely and kindhearted folks.

The farm is beautiful. We liked staying in the spacious barn loft - it was rustic and charming - and we felt right at home. Robin and Greg are wonderful hosts and inspirational stewards of the land they farm and protect. We learned much about the local flora and fauna on the farm and in the adjacent nature preserve. The opportunities for great birding at the farm and nearby are well worth the trip. We saw numerous bird species including sandhill cranes, bobolinks, eagles, larks, and many others. We enjoyed long nature walks, delicious organic meals and great conversations. We loved every minute of our stay. It was a truly restorative experience for us. We can't wait to return.

Our stay with Robin and Greg was fantastic. It was quiet and private but they were great conversation and enjoyable company. If you're looking for a nice little getaway from the hustle and bustle a weekend here should be at the top of your list. Definitely coming to stay again in the future!

I had a great time staying here with 5 of my friends. The space is much larger than I expected. Robin was very welcoming and made us all a great breakfast in the morning and let us walk around the farm. It is a barn, and the chickens that live on the 1st floor will wake you up in the morning, so don't expect to be sleeping in late here. The bathroom may be a composting toilet downstairs, but the decor is excellent.

My husband and I maintain a small organic farm. We are health professionals; he is a homeopathic doctor in private practice, and I am a retired nurse. We're in our 60's.
