We stayed in the apartment for three days and three nights on the weekend of Dec 30 2016. Pros: •The apartment is modern and lovely (note no TV or DVD) •The location is good in terms of walking distance from restaurants, clubs, and the zoological garden. Cons: We experienced numerous problems with organization/logistic issues stemming from the fact that no one met us and the fact that Christina simply didn’t care. •Christina did not specify the apartment number nor the floor. All she gave us was the building number, and the code for a lock system on “the gate”. •The building has a security door however we were not given the entry code and the doorman had no idea who we were or if there was an AirBNB apartment in the building. •Despite coordinating the arrival time in advance Christina did not answer our phone calls or e-mails. So we were stuck with our suitcases simply waiting for her to reply •About an hour later when she made contact and gave us the flat number she didn’t accept the fact that there was a problem with the lock system. We had to take photos and videos showing the unresponsive lock. When we asked her to come by with an extra key she responded that AirBNB was responsible for the lock and she would contact their technical support. •This was followed by instructions to purchase a battery and charge the system while activating the code. •The saga ended at about 2:30pm. By then we already missed some of our planned programs for the day. There was no apology for the inconvenience and trouble we had to go through and no offer for compensation aside for giving us back $2 for the battery. •Being December it was cold with a 19C high and 15C low. There was no heating, space heater or extra blankets. Christina’s response was “buildings in Hong Kong don’t have heating because it never gets cold”. We actually slept with our coats that night! •There were only four bath towels, no hand towels or wash cloths. •There was no coffee maker or tea kettle, usually basic items in both hotels and apartments. In case you want to enjoy an evening cup of tea or morning coffee, Christine advice was to go to a cafe nearby. •The apartment is lived-in with their food items in the fridge and clothing in the drawers. This made it awkward when it came to food shopping and unpacking our cloths. In short, for $500/night we did not get a well equipped organized apartment, and we were disappointed by Christine’s lack of professional behavior. Beyond taking our money, she just didn’t care!
