This charming beachfront cabin is very basic, with electricity and a wood stove for heat. Restrooms and showers are available nearby.

There is a double bed and a lofted single bed, with mattresses but NO LINENS. Please don't forget to bring your own linens/sleeping bags:)

The only heat source in this cabin is the wood-burning stove, so guests must be familiar with wood stoves, as there won't always be someone around to help get the fire going. Thanks!

Super cute and cozy cabin by the sea. Loved listening to the waves crash against the shore right outside. Wonderful spot! Can't wait to come back :)

I cannot believe how absolutely disgusted we were with the Seaside Cabin. The roof leaked, the windows were broken (and fixed with duct tape), the cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, the garbage shoved into the cracks in the loft, cigarette butts on the floor, the electric outlet actually looked DANGEROUS. And the showers!! They actually have the audacity to charge to take a shower in that filthy?!?!? There was hair globs and a used bandaid in the shower. Lastly, they put an RV immediately next to us, when there were at least 10 other beach-side RV sites. We were supposed to stay in the cabin for 3 nights; we stayed one night, then moved into a rental in town.

A small campground along the shore with a few cute cabins, at the end of a quiet road and tiny neighborhood, away from the busy shoreline/park camping in the town of Seward. There is a little store where you check in, that provides coffee in the morning and there is a beautiful long deck with rocking chairs so you can gaze at the bay and the mountains across the water. There is a bath/bathroom house with 2 sinks and 3 toilets for the women and a couple showers that were in fine shape and kept neat. My review of the units is a little different, as I did not get the unit I had rented and they had confirmed for me. I called the night before to inquire about availability a night early when I was informed I was not confirmed for the Seaside Cabin. I told the lady I was looking at my confirmation letter and it said I was; after a long pause she told me someone else was in the Seaside Cabin and that I had been upgraded to the Captains Cabin, because it had a kitchen (I did not plan to cook) but was not close to the water. The whole reason I had come to Seward on my 10 day camping trip to Alaska (from the high desert) was to stay at the Seaside Cabin- it was one of 2 reservations I had made and was really the climax to my trip, and one I had made for very sentimental reasons. When I told her I'd take a regular cabin for that night since I was arriving early (the night I called) but wanted to cancel the reservation night because it was not what I had reserved her reply was "it's not that big of a deal" with no apology; to me it was. From the outside, the Seaside Cabin looked really charming and cute, and is right on the water, overlooking the bay. I had one of the cabins in the tree the night I arrived before my reservation night; it was nothing special, and considering it was only $10 cheaper then the Seaside Cabin, I would not call it a bargain. It definitely needed some TLC, as the pieces of fabric tacked to the wall were falling down and the curtain over the front door window (facing the road and rest of the campground did not cover the window; luckily, I had some binder clips and a curtain I brought to cover my truck windows in case during my road trip I had to sleep in my truck, and hung that over it so I could change my clothes and have privacy while I slept. All in all, the grounds were fine, the guy and young lady who was there for the summer who saw me to the cabin were nice. I don't know who I spoke to on the phone earlier that night. The bathrooms were fine. Setting is beautiful. I consider...
