Información sobre este anuncio
Albion Cottage is situated on the edge of the the creekside village of Mylor Bridge in gorgeous country, perfect for exploring Cornwall. Cosy with log burner in the living /dining room, small private courtyard and access to large garden and grass tennis court. We welcome well behaved dogs subject to house restrictions by arrangement. Changeover days are Friday and Mondays or shorter stays by arrangement. In the July and August school holidays we do weekly bookings, changing over on a Friday.
Albion House is an old Tudor and Georgian house on the edge of Mylor village. We have turned the 300 year old former stables and coach house into a cosy three bedroom cottage that sleeps up to six but is perfect for four.
Entry is into a comfortable living and dining area with full central heating and log fire stove. Upstairs is the double bedroom with a small twin bedroom off the main bedroom. The third bedroom is downstairs as is the bathroom. There is a kitchen breakfast room with back door onto an enclosed covered verandah, courtyard and bbq area.
Albion House is a listed C18th home and was home to Commander Bell of the Royal Navy and the postal ship service that communicated with the world - 'the packet ships' in the 1780's. Bell captained the ship 'The Albion'; hence Albion House and Bells Hill. Three successive generations of Doctors from the Olivey family made it their home and the stables would have seen the Doctor saddling up to attend to his patients night and day.

Atención a los huéspedes
We live not far from the cottage and are very happy to help with advice and ideas - local knowledge on beaches, pubs, restaurants and walks.
Mylor Bridge is located in a beautiful part of Cornwall - close to creekside walks, harbour beaches and sailing and a 25 minute drive to surfing beaches on the north coast. We have wonderful cafes, pubs and restaurants, many of these linked by stunning coastal walking paths. We are happy to recommend our favourite places and can assist with booking restaurants and activities.
A holiday break at Mylor offers a host of opportunities and a contrast between the north and south coasts. The picturesque village of Flushing, Cornwall's spectacular the Eden Project, the famous surfing beaches at Watergate Bay and Newquay and the quieter sandy coves of Pendower and Carne on the Roseland Peninsula, are some of the places that will guarantee a memorable and fun-filled break. There is ample off-road parking and Mylor village has a village pub, the Lemon Arms, the famous waterside Pandora Inn, Mylor yacht harbour's cafe and restaurants and the dingy racing mecca of Restronguet sailing club, where Gold medallist Sir Ben Ainsley leaned to sail.
Lots of parking (and boat or towing access on request).

Pen and I and our four children have lived in Cornwall since returning from Pen's home in Australia. The children are at school locally so much of our recreational time is doing things as a family and as they all enjoy sporting activities this involves matches, training, sailing, country walks and runs. We all love spending time at the beach (especially in the surf), or sailing. There are so many wonderful things to do locally- a trip over the king harry Ferry to the hidden hut for a picnic, galleries, the Minack theatre, and festivals big and small especially Port Elliot.
