We really enjoyed our stay in this quaint cottage in a really nice location. It's always a pleasant surprise to find WiFi and a BT hub allowing you to keep in contact and even watch Netflix Parking at the top of the lane or in the nearby pub car park constitutes the only negative,

James and Sarah's cottage is full of character with modern facilities and is fantastically situated to explore South Devon. The neighbours are friendly and helpful, always saying hello and giving advice on places to visit. The two pubs in the village are both within walking distance and serve great food and the farm shop is a must for a home shop as well as dining on one of their pizza or paella nights. Slapton Ley is right on the doorstep - a beautiful nature reserve with a lovely stretch of beach. We also enjoyed Blackpool Sands - a short car journey just around the bay.

A very quaint cottage in a quiet village location. When we stayed we were unable to park outside the property, but there was parking in a public car park, about 4/5 minutes walk away. There are two pubs in the village and we enjoyed a lovely meal in The Tradesman's Arms, which is dog friendly. Easy walk from the cottage into Tor Cross, which is mainly along a woodland path, only next to the road for a few hundred yards. The beach is dog friendly and we ate in the fish and chip restaurant, which was delicious. You can't book, but we went at 6pm and got seated pretty quickly. Great location for getting everywhere in South Hams.

Really cosy cottage and well looked after. We had to park about half a mile away which could be an issue of you have young children. Central for lots of day trips. Very clean.

A very sweet little cottage with a beautiful courtyard garden - perfect for what we needed. It is ideally situated for walks in the countryside, and for day trips to the beach. Slapton and Torcross is walkable, or 3 mins in the car. Kingsbridge is 15 mins car drive, lots of lovely neighbouring villages, and Salcombe and the beautiful North Sands is about 30 mins drive. The Tradesman's Arms pub is a 1 minute walk from the cottage, and has a lovely pub garden. The pub does amazing food (try the steak and ale pie!!) and is dog friendly. We were able to sit and eat in the pub area with our dog. Staff very friendly. There is also The Church House Inn a few minutes walk away, which we didn't try, but looks lovely. There is a little farm shop and cafe about 10 minutes walk, which has everything you could want. The cottage itself had everything we needed including today's must have; wi-fi! You will need to take your own towels, but that is in the cottage description, so no surprises there. The only thing I would say is that the parking space pictured on the cottage's description, does NOT belong to the cottage. We weren't able to park there and a neighbour kindly explained that it belongs to somebody else. There are no spaces up the street at all, so we ended up parking right up the top of the street, on the road that runs along the top. Not an issue for us, but the property details are misleading in this respect, and if parking is a must have for you on your holiday, then you will need to know this. The owners were so very helpful - can't speak highly enough of them. We will definitely be returning soon!! A fantastic holiday and a fantastic cottage!!
