The Daylesford-Hepburn Region is famous for its mineral waters and is known as the Spa Centre of Australia. Our beautiful scenery includes the famous Lake Daylesford, the Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens and the Wombat State Forest. There are historic buildings in the main street of Daylesford and the region’s history lies in the rush for gold. Lake Daylesford now covers land upon which gold was first discovered and offers lakeside picnic spots, cafes, walking tracks, fishing and pedal boating. The internationally known Lake House sits on its shores and there are public BBQ facilities and amenities adjacent to the main parking area.
Lake Jubilee is located south of Daylesford (about a 10-15 minute drive) and is ideal for fishing, boating and swimming. If you are looking for a waterfall, visit Sailor’s Falls, less than 30 minutes south from the Daylesford Town Centre. If you are into the outdoors, Daylesford sits at the junction of three walking trails that are part of the Great Dividing Trail – the Lerderderg Track, the Dry Diggings Track and the Wallaby Track. The Hepburn Regional Park is a little less challenging and contains mineral springs and relics of the bygone gold era.
There is much to do in Daylesford and the region hosts a variety of festivals through-out the year, including Chill Out, Harvest and the Swiss Italian Festival. For those looking for art, visit the Convent Gallery or a host of smaller studios. If you want to wander, the local Daylesford Market is held each Sunday next to the Daylesford railway station. The monthly market is hosted at the Daylesford Primary School grounds. There are local wineries all around us and great restaurants and cafes to choose from in both Daylesford and Hepburn Springs, whether you are looking for a light lunch or a dinner boasting regional produce.

We do not pre-authorise credit cards for security deposits, however, if you are unable to provide a credit card at check in, a $200 cash bond is required before keys will be issued to you.

Delightful home and just perfect for a large group. Cosy and warm with all the amenities we required. The home is light filled with beautiful views over the town and surrounding areas. Close to the lake and main shopping area. Several guests made use of the swim spa and found it very relaxing. A great weekend away.

Sadly a very disappointing experience. I don't like to write negative reviews but this was a real let down. First off, it's important to note that this property is managed by an accomodation agency rather than an individual, and the feel of the place reflects this on arrival - not very welcoming and a bit sterile. Dirty. Masses of dead Insects in light fittings and windows. Dirty windows, hairs (not ours!) in bedding and in showers, stains on carpets, marks on walls. Living room lamp didn't work, so used bed side lamp only to find no lightbulb in it - went to find other lamp, also no light bulb... just poor maintenance. Decor finishes are odd and let the place down (plastic fruit and magazines that are years old) - all these things would be ok if it wasn't priced as a 'high end' house. It's missing the 'warmth' that you usually get with an airbnb - with things such as a 'welcome pack' and store cupboard basics (no salt/pepper/coffee/tea/sugar etc) absent. Location is good, size of house is great, and pool (whilst not fully functional) is fab. I REALY hope the host reads this and other similar feedback and ups their game, as this property is about 20% off being fabulous... and given the fact it's priced like it already is, makes it even more disappointing.

Hi Frances, Thanks for your feedback. We've generally had very good feedback relating to Sade's however I can't disagree with you on the cleaning. The current cleaners have been caring for the property for a couple of month's now and we've had some issues with there work recently. All I can do is apologise that the property was not presented as well as it should have been and based on your feedback we are making changes in this area. The property was put together by an interior designer so I can only assume that what has been done is not to your tastes. This is very much an individual thing and will happen from time to time. The property is owned by an individual and we are a service that handles arrival and departures as the property owner doesn't live locally. In our view this is a far better system than just a key safe with a code and at least we are able to offer a 24 hour call out service if required. Pricing wise, the property has a very good booking profile which I don't think would be the case if it was over priced. For 2 nights over a weekend and (Sade's sleeps 10 guests) we think under $65 per head per person represents good value. Again, apologies for the cleaning issues and we can assure you they have been addressed. Regards, Patrick

I had organised a three night stay at Sade's in Daylesford to spend some quality time with my family whilst I visit from England. Overall the trip was great having many beds and a good amount of space. However we arrived to a fairly dirty house with ants in the cutlery drawers, a broken polystyrene spa cover (which resulted in a bug and polystyrene littered spa) and dirty windows with spider webs everywhere. Overall it was very unwelcoming. That said the hosts were quick to respond to the problem and cleaners (who were very friendly) returned to the house. Having stayed in many airbnb's (all of which have been exceptional) it was a very disappointing arrival. To stay competitive and appealing to a savvy market the hosts have to care more. A clean kitchen is essential. A small bunch of flowers, bottle of wine, eggs or milk (or any kind of welcome token) would help make guests feel like they're home — not in someone's else's home. Not having wifi is a disaster. When the sun is out the decking area feels completely different and the house feels more inviting but at these rates we expected more. Much more.

Sades was a lovely, warm home which accomodated my family for my mum's 60th. The house was spacious, and allowed us to spread out and relax. A couple of thinsg which need updating include installing wifi (given the town's service is pretty slow), and also just stocking the kitchen with some quality staples. It seems this was overlooked, so we had to buy them ourselves. Overall, I would recommend this house to stay.

Sades is a great place to stay if you're in a large group. There is lots of space to spread out indoors and out and is well positioned for walking to the main street of Daylesford. This listing is managed through a holiday rental agency and whilst it is lovely and clean, it lacks the human-touch often offered when properties are managed by the owner. There is a well equipped kitchen as far as utensils goes - but bring your own everything! The pantry cupboards were bare.

We are fortunate enough to live in one of Australia's most beautiful locations. Although we love travelling we love coming home as well. Our region is known as "Spa Country" and has over 80% of Australia's mineral water deposits. We have great restaurants and eateries, lots of galleries and curio shops, day spas aplenty and magnificent scenery. You really should visit.
