Descripción

Looking over the Coromandel harbour and close to Coromandel Town. Seaperch is a cottage with native bush surrounds.
Single bed in a room with library and desk.

2 level cottage tucked away among bush and perched above the sea looking over Coromandel harbour. Excellent sea views next to a native bush reserve. Furnished with art, modern kitchen and bathroom. Library and desk in a single room that looks out to sea. Perfect as a base to explore Coromandel Town and the greater Peninsula, Sea Perch is a place to watch seabirds as the tide ebbs and flows, and the setting sun.
Conveniently located and close to Coromandel Wharf, Long Bay beach to starboard and Coro Town to port.
Continental breakfast supplied.

Shared bathroom.
Kitchen available and shared lounge.
Breakfast is provided but not dinner. You can cook your own or contribute to a shared dinner (ie bring a bottle of wine etc) by arrangement.

At Sea perch living space is shared but sleeping space private.
Will help with any tips for local attractions.
As a solo traveler myself I believe meeting locals is a major part of travel and hope to make a stay enjoyable.
Quite welcome to join in on conservation work either on trap lines through bush or noxious weed control. Discover what is involved in saving the kiwi. Or just relax.

Coromandel Town is noted for historic looking town (in places) art, conservation land and associated activities such as hiking. Many cafes and restaurants to recommend.

Seaperch is 10-15 minutes walking distance from Coromandel Town.
If you come on public transport I might be able to pick you up from town. (No guarantee though.) There is a ferry from Auckland. A most civilised way to come to Coromandel. Buses also service Coromandel. Around town there is a taxi service. Hire cars from local garage, Bicycle at Sea perch is available.
Several tour operators can take one further such as upper Coromandel peninsula and across to Cathedral Cove and Hot Water beach.

There are several steps to get a good view. Steps not suitable for disabled.
Off street parking available.
In the amenities section it says no TV so please don't complain that there is no TV.
I have to work so I am not always present but you will have full access to house.

Carol is the nicest host I have ever met. She picked me up in town and she even invited me for dinner at her place. I am very happy for having met her. Thanks, Carol and take care! Carolina

Carol's place was a good home base to explore in and around Coromandel from. The room was quiet, came with a great view over the bay, and was close to some interesting trails and the main town. Would recommend.

Staying at Carol's was exactly what I had hoped for. Her place is lovely and tidy and quite close to town. Amazing views and just the perfect little getaway. Carol was kind and generous and totally exceeded my expectations of what a host would be like.

Seaperch was everything I hoped it would be. A beautiful view over the harbour (albeit through torrential rain!), quirky yet with all mod cons and an engaging host. It is a peaceful oasis, somewhere to appreciate nature and re-charge the batteries. Location-wise it takes a good 15 minutes to walk to town and one hour to Driving Creek Railway. Carol's house is reached via a series of steps so is not suitable for those with mobility issues.

I have worked at sea most of my life and now pottering around closer to home in the beautiful Coromandel or traveling. The theatres of London are one of my favourite destinations.

At home I am part of a voluntary group helping to boost kiwi numbers in the northern part of the Coromandel Peninsula, (success! more calls at night) and cruising around with my classic Brit (MGB GT).
Reading, history and the arts (although alas I lack any talent in that area) are pastimes, as is spending time with friends over a good meal.
Spoiling nephews given half the chance.

I understand the benefits of holiday makers finding a place that is not the neutral bland hotel destination. When I travel by myself b&b is a good way to interact with locals for a start.

Cheers
Carol
