Perched on the side of a canyon looking out toward Prescott National Forest adjacent to Senator Hwy, Canyon View is a good place to start your hike up to Goldwater Lake as well as many other trails for long or short hikes. However, it's just a five-minute drive to the Courthouse Square in downtown Prescott.
Either direction you choose to go, this home is a peaceful place to stay. Decorated with charming collections, art and photos from travels around the world, Canyon View also has comfortable furnishings, beds and places to lounge, read a book or just listen to the sounds of nature.
The king bedroom opens out onto a deck overlooking the canyon and is the perfect place to enjoy the sunrise as you have your morning cup of coffee or a late night toddy while gazing at the moon and stars. The other bedroom has a queen bed and one twin bed as well as a sitting area with two recliners. The full, hall bath has a tub/shower and is next to both bedrooms.
The great room allows one to see the views from the east to south from the living area, kitchen and dining table. The deck off the dining area has a natural gas grill. The kitchen is modern and well-stocked with everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal.
Downstairs has an office if you need a quiet space to connect with home or perform business and it opens out to a large deck with three tables and chairs. Additionally, there is a workout area with variety of gym equipment. A second 3/4 bath is also downstairs as well as a laundry room with washer/dryer. All of these amenities and wireless internet create modern conveniences to this lovely property in a quiet, rural-like setting.
I have a studio apartment off of the far end of the lower level with its own entrance. I travel a lot and you will not see or hear me even if I am here as I keep to myself and am very quiet.

Guests have access to the entire house and all of its amenities. The kitchen is well equipped and you will find all you need to prepare a gourmet meal.

I will greet you when you arrive and orient you to my home. Other than that, you will not see me or hear from me. However, if you are staying a week or more, I will need to come in once a week to water plants. I will notify you and come in when it is convenient for you. If need something or have urgent request, I can accommodate you immediately.

The driveway must remain open so I can access the garage if necessary. It is best to park up by the street on either side of the driveway. Feel free however, to drive in to unload and load your vehicle when arriving and leaving. (It is a short driveway)
Pets must never be left unattended on the property without being confined to a crate. If your pet is not crate trained, a list of pet daycare facilities will be provided.
Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property.
Any event of a gathering of more than six people must be preapproved.
I have lived in Prescott for 16 years and know the best places to eat, hike, sightsee, find entertainment, great museums, and just about anything else you will want to do. Come and enjoy the serenity of a rural setting close to downtown

Just to let you know, I have a studio apartment attached to the far end of the lower level. However, you will not see me unless you have a question or need something with one exception, if your stay is more than a week, I need to water inside potted plants. Otherwise, the entire house is yours to enjoy as you wish.
