This was a really cool place to stay, in a great central area of Charleston. The space is thoughtfully set up and the rooftop area is a unique element that I enjoyed. It would be difficult to find a place to stay in Charleston in this prime location for a similar value.

We were in Charleston for a family wedding. So glad we stayed at AJ’s rather than the hotels downtown. Great location! Very nice and comfortable apartment with charming decor! Rooftop deck was delightful! Enjoyed meals at Fuel, Prohibition( you can walk to them) and Burwell’s Stone Fire Grill. Saw the sights and enjoyed the wedding at Boone Hall Plantation. Great time and recommend AJ’s!

The location was great. The space was larger than I expected. The decor was cute. No water pressure. Uncomfortable bed. It is important to note that we really enjoyed the rooftop deck. However, it is tricky to get to it. Not suitable if you are elderly or overweight.

Great space and location! We had an amazing time. The rooftop space was great to escape to when we wanted to relax after a long day of walking. Location was equally great, easy to walk to many different bars and restaurants.

This unit is so charming and perfectly located within a close proximity to plenty of bars, restaurants and activities! Alison is incredibly responsive and was even able to accommodate our earlier than anticipated arrival time. Absolutely recommend her place for anyone looking to explore downtown Charleston and all of its character!

AJ's place was actually better than we expected (and we expected it to be pretty good based on reviews). Her place is very clean and nicely decorated. Everything you need is present and a little beyond. The apartment is actually very quiet and feels private. Parking is provided off-street and is very easy. The location is great. We walked to many places and comfortably drove to others. She provides a nice list of suggestions and also has a guest book that provides some insight from previous visits. Overall, I would absolutely recommend and return.
