The Swallow's Nest is adjacent to West Sedgemoor which is the site of a specially protected haven of an RSPB Nature Reserve and part of England's largest remaining wet meadow system and where you will see the largest lowland population of breeding wading birds such as lapwing, snipe, curlew and redshanks. In Spring and Summer you will see dragonflies and damselflies, wildflower meadows, slylarks and clouds of butterflies. It is also home to the successful Great Crane Project and may catch a glimpse of this huge bird either feeding or flying high in the somerset skies.
