Sweet private room in the heart of everything that is happening in Reno. With a 10 minute walk to Midtown nightlife, shopping, gyms and everything that is amazing about Reno, and a 15 minute walk to casinos and downtown Reno, my spot is the best bang for your buck when you're staying in Reno. The house is an old historic bricker, built in the 1940's, with lots of old world charm and funky retro features and decor. The space is perfect for those visiting Reno for business or pleasure.
You get a simple, yet effective private bedroom in the back of the house facing the "garden", which depending on the season may or may not be a garden or wood pile! The house is quiet, clean, very zen like, with influences and decor of west Asia, Bohemia, and covered in art of all forms. Wooden floors throughout, in the summer it is cool and airy, and the winter, heated by a cozy fireplace, with a pot of chili on the stove more often then not. The house is historic, so it has a bunch of funky retro decor, with many features from the original build. With your bedroom, you have a private sink and toilet connected to the back of the house off the laundry room, however there is only one shower in the main bathroom which is shared. In the room I provide an extension cord, lamp, heater, fan, television and DVD player with cable + HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, and a nice cozy queen bed, with closet space for hanging things, a dresser, and nightstand. Anything else you may need during your stay can surely be provided.
Servicios y zonas comunes
You will have access to your room, bathroom, and kitchen for cooking light meals. I am very laid back, and you're welcome to use my space as needed as long as you're respectful. Laundry use is available for a small fee. I ask that other than showering, guests DO NOT use my bathroom sink and toilet, under any circumstances, as it is a hygiene issue for me.
Atención a los huéspedes
I am a busy lady, but am home most evenings and in bed early as I work quite a bit. I generally tend to keep to myself, but am more than happy to answer questions on the area, restaurants, things to do, etc. I teach at a local paint and sip on Friday nights, and any guests staying with me on this night are more then welcome to tag along.
Otros aspectos destacables
I have two very gentle cats, who will not disturb your stay, however they are very friendly! I also do not wear shoes in my house, ever! You will be expected to remove your shoes upon entering and keep them off while staying here! It helps keep the antique wooden floors much cleaner, and I am grateful!
This is a shoe free, non-smoking house, you must use back guest bathroom for all bathroom related things, except for showering, which is in my bathroom. I don't want you to have any guests other than those listed, no coming in and out all night long, and no partying in my house. It's a pretty quiet zen-like space, and I prefer to keep it that way! Thank you!
I am a snowboarder, artist, herbalist, gardener, love the tropics and Hawaii, yogi, love cooking, raw foods enthusiast, quiet and reserved.
Currently working on MA in psychology, and a certificate program in herbal medicine. In the summers I work around the clock for a team of Burning Man artists, I teach at a paint and sip, and in the winters teach kids snowboarding.
I am super laid back with the people in my home, clean, but not obsessive, and generally keep to myself and my studies. I hope to attract people that are happy, positive and grateful in their demeanor! Looking forward to meeting new people!
For the most part, I interact with my guests minimally. I am usually really busy, and am an independent introvert.
Live and let live!
