I booked with Vincent for a month with my husband's account by mistake. Upon realizing the mistake I called Vincent within minutes of booking; he told me that he cannot allow me to check in under this circumstance (which I understand as we, too, are Airbnb hosts) and that I needed to cancel the reservation and re-book again. I did cancel and sent Vincent a request for a refund for the wrong reservation via Airbnb so that I can re-book with him. He NEVER responded to my official request via Airbnb but sent me a message saying that he never received the money. In the meantime, he booked the room to someone else for the same time period....Finally, after nearly 20 days of going back and forth and asking him to respond to my request for a refund via Airbnb , I SENT A COMPLAINT TO AIRBNB'S RESOLUTION CENTER explaining the case AND THE MONEY WAS RETURNED TO ME WITHIN 2 HOURS!!! in my view, Vincent just decided to collect payment for the same room and the same time period TWICE! All he needed to do is to press a button to respond to my official request (in fact, he may have even denied my request), but instead, he decided NOT to even RESPOND ! All this left me with a very bitter taste.
