We are a 2 minute walk from the centre of Ulverston a bustling market town known as the festival town of the Lake District. It boasts Cumbria's largest live venue , a traditional cinema, numerous pubs, cafes, restaurants and cobbled streets with independent shops. We are on the doorstep of the Lake District National Park and the Cumbrian Way begins in the town. It is a fantastic area to access fell walking, mountain biking, canoeing and other outdoor activities - Nick can advise on all these.
The room is newly decorated and has a double bed.The room is on the top floor up 2 flights of stairs. We also have another room available which sleeps three, on a separate listing, so larger families could be accommodated. You also have access to an upstairs sitting room which is shared with the other guest bedroom. Please note there are no cooking facilities available to guests. The bathroom is shared with the other guest room (we have our own ensuite) and is on the floor below. As we have two rooms listed separately on the top floor why not book the whole floor and make a weekend of it with friends or family?

Otros aspectos destacables
Ulverston is a bustling market town and we are very close to the centre. It is also the Festival Town of the Lakes. Please expect a certain amount of noise from traffic and festivals when they take place. Ulverston is not a sleepy tranquil Lakeland village.
We have a little springer spaniel who is very well behaved and not allowed in guest areas.

I am a primary school teacher and relatively new to the area having settled here after being lucky enough to live in a number of lovely places both in the UK and abroad. I have known my other half Nick, who is a retired psychiatric nurse, since schooldays . He has lived here for a good 20 years now and is a mine of information about places to walk and canoe, where to go for a family day out, the best pubs in the area...you name it. We have recently bought the house and we are redecorating bit by bit which takes up most of our time at the moment. When not clutching a paint roller and trying not to procrastinate, we can be found in the canoe, walking our dog Skye, spending time with our children, trying to tame the allotment or out in the wilds of Cumbria on a hike. Nick is Chairman of Ulverston Live Music and if you visit at the right weekend we can recommend stopping by one of the gigs. We share a love of the outdoors, good food and music and are loving meeting people from all walks of life through Air BnB.
We aim to provide a friendly, low key, relaxing welcome to Ulverston. If 5 star luxury is your thing then this may not be the place for you, but if a clean, cosy, chilled out space of your own, steps from the centre of town, is what you are looking for then we look forward to meeting you soon !
