Spacious second floor queen bedroom in home on 35 acres on Mount Desert Island. Walk our wooded trail that ends on the shore of Thomas Bay where you will enjoy over 1,500 feet of private shore front. Minutes from all Acadia has to offer.
This room is very spacious, the large bedroom has an en suite reading area with a full size couch and comfortable chair. The bathroom is shared (with the hosts) but we will do our best to accommodate your schedule.
Nestled right off Route 3 in Bar Harbor our house offers the convenience of being in close proximity to town and Acadia National Park with the charm of country living.
The cape is in the middle of a sunny field--in warmer months we grow multiple gardens of flowers and vegetables. Most of our 35 acre property is dense woods that are perfect for exploring. There is a 1/3 mile path through the woods down to our shore on Thomas Bay. From the shore guests will often see ducks, geese, eagles, and many other bird species. Don't forget your binoculars!

Atención a los huéspedes
We lead fairly busy lives and will be in and out of the house -- we can interact as much or as little as our guests would like.
We try our best to maintain the house as a stress free zone so that guests can be comfortable and enjoy their vacations. Please leave discussions of politics and religion at home. We welcome and accept everyone, no matter race, culture, or orientation.
We ask that guests please let us know their anticipated time of arrival for check-in.
Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.
When waking up early to enjoy a sunrise on Cadillac Mountain please try to keep noise to a minimum (no loud conversations, heavy footed walking, door slamming, etc). While we encourage you to witness this spectacular natural event, please respect that we live here too and would like to stay asleep. The same applies for coming back to the house late at night.
Because this is a shared home, guests may not bring any visitors on our property at any time. Only registered guests may enter the premises.
Guests are welcome to use our shared kitchen for light cooking--please, no fish or other foods that leave a lingering odor.
Campfires in backyard fire pit only. If you would like a fire just ask and we will be happy to start one for you or leave out the necessary supplies for you to start your own.
No smoking anywhere on the property.
Garage, barn, basement, host bedroom, downstairs bed and bath, and laundry room are private spaces and off limits to guests.
Read the books in our library, but please do not take them out of the house.
There is a $20 replacement fee for lost keys.
Please always close and lock the front door before leaving the property.
Checkout is 11 a.m.

Hello! Adam is from here in Bar Harbor and Julia is from Sarasota, Florida. We met while working in downtown Bar Harbor--Adam was crew on a touring sailboat and Julia was a carriage driver. Our paths crossed and the rest is history... Julia now works as a photographer and communications officer for a non-profit here on the island and Adam works with his first love, boats.
We love where we live and enjoy sharing local tips and history with our guests. Please message us with any questions about your visit. We hope you enjoy your time on the island. -- Adam & Julia
