Mt. Princeton at Westwinds is a ranch style home with a spectacular view of Mt. Princeton and the Collegiate Peaks, situated on a half acre. The mountains feel like they are in your yard but you’re only a short mile to Main Steet. This house has all the amenities you need to feel right at home, with 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, queen sleeper sofa, laundry room, and attached 2 car garage. All new furniture and pillow top mattresses, fully stocked kitchen with coffee, spices, utensils, etc., a gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, water dispensing refrigerator and propane BBQ grill on the back deck. Surf the Net or steam movies with wireless internet, two smart, flat screen tv’s, blue ray player, and sound system excellent for watching movies, or listening to music. Download or stream your movies, or rent from the red box at the grocery store. Home has a large 2 car garage and off street parking for several additional vehicles.

Enjoy the decorative art that includes some of the owner’s personal pieces. There is also a deck off the back and patio in front with Adirondack chairs to enjoy the view. This home is surrounded by views in a quiet friendly neighborhood!

This unique home offers 3 queen beds, and a queen sleeper sofa with upgraded mattress. All beds have new mattresses and pillows. Two full bathrooms, both with tubs. Stay at Mt. Princeton at Westwinds and enjoy all the comforts of home but in one awesome location!

The grocery store is approximately 1.5 miles to the house, along with a variety of restaurants, and liquor stores. Cottonwood Hot Springs only about 2 miles away. Mt. Princeton Hot Springs only 8 miles away.

As you walk down Main street to shop and dine you will come across the climbing park and the Arkansas river, with walking, hiking, and biking trails. So much to do in Buena Vista! Rock climbing, rafting, fishing, whitewater kayaking, hiking 14ers, 2 hot springs, four wheeling, dirt bike riding, road and mountain biking. Excellent skiing can be found at Monarch ski resort located 40 minutes south or Ski Cooper approximately 30 minutes north. Lots of backcountry skiing, snowshoeing, or hunting, only minutes away. Several equipment rental companies in town, along with available tours.

The town of Buena Vista has much to offer with the local craft beer at Eddyline Brewery, make your own art studio, boutiques, restaurants, and a local distillery. A short 25 minute drive to the artsy town of Salida to the south, or 30 minute drive north to the old mining town of Leadville.

We have a no pet policy and no smoking inside policy. If either of these policies are found to be violated, 100% of your deposit will be forfeited.

The Mt. Princeton At Westwinds does not allow pets and is a smoke free environment.

Guest agree to abide by these Rental Rules at all times while at the property and shall cause all members of the rental party and anyone else Guest permits on the property to abide by the following rules at all times while at the property:

1.Check in time is 4:00PM MST, check out is 10:00AM MST. To ensure the property is ready for your arrival, early check in and late check outs are not permitted.

2.This is a NON-SMOKING property. PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED. Fires and Fireworks are not permitted.

3.We will not rent to vacationing students or singles under the age 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent. Any reservation made and/or secured under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advanced payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will be asked to vacate the premises.

4.A Damage Deposit of $500 is required as security. This must be received within thirty (30) days of arrival. This deposit will be deposited or held upon receipt and is NOT applied towards rent. The deposit will be refunded within fourteen (14) days of departure provided no deductions are made due to:

a.No damage is done to the property or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear;
b.No charges are incurred due to contraband, or collections of rents or services, or pay per view TV fees during the stay;
c.All keys and garage door opener are left as instructed and all windows and outside doors are closed and locked;
d.No linens are lost or damaged;
e.All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in the refuse containers in the garage, and soiled dishes are rinsed and placed in the dishwasher. No dirt or mess requiring excessive cleaning;
f.No evidence of pets or smoking in the house or garage. If we or our Property Manager and/or Maid service determine that smoke or pets have been in the house then the full deposit will be kept for additional cleaning charges.
g.No evidence of fires or fireworks on the property.

5.Garbage – Needs to be collected in trash bags and placed in the trash cans located in the garage. Recycling items should be placed in a separate bag and stored in the garage.

6.No Daily Maid Service – Lines for all beds and bath towels are included for your stay, and there is NO daily maid service. Rates include a one time linen and towel setup. We suggest you bring your own beach towels for use at the river or hot spring pools. We do not permit removal of linens or towels from the property. Housekeepers will arrive shortly after 10:00AM on your check out day to prepare the property for the next guests.

(URL HIDDEN) Condition Policy – No refunds will be given for storms. Mountain roads can be dangerous during storms due to ice, hail, and drifting snow. County roads are maintained and every effort is made to keep access to the house open. We recommend four-wheel drive and or chains in the winter months. Road conditions can be obtained through (URL HIDDEN) we will not refund due to road conditions.

8.This property is privately owned: the owner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur while on the premises or it’s facilities. The homeowner is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest or any visitors the guest might have while renting. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.

9.Access – Guest shall allow Homeowner or Homeowner’s Authorized Agent access to the property for purposes of repair and inspection. Homeowner shall exercise this right of access in a reasonable manner.


1.Payment – An advanced payment equal to 50% (one half) of the rental fee is required within 7 days of booking. The remaining 50% balance of the rental fee is due within thirty (30) days of your arrival date.

2.A Damage Deposit of $500 is required. The deposit must be received within thirty (30) days of the arrival date. This deposit is NOT applied towards rent; however, it is fully refundable within fourteen (14) days of departure provided the provisions previously stated (#4 Rental Rules) are met.

3.Maximum Occupancy – The normal number of guests is six (6) and the maximum number of guests is limited to ten (10) persons. An additional charge of $10 per person, per night, for additional guests over six (6) will be deducted from the deposit if not already included in the rental fee.

4.Cancellations – We have a strict cancellation policy of 50% through Airbnb up to one week prior to arrival. If cancellations are made MORE than sixty (60) days ahead of your arrival date, any rents paid over 50% shall be refunded in full within fourteen (14) days of cancellation. The $500 damage deposit shall be fully refunded within fourteen (14) days of any cancellation.

5.Falsified Reservations – Any reservation made and/or secured under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check-in and under certain conditions may be asked to vacate the premises. Pets on the premises will result in the complete loss of the rental deposit.

6.Written Exceptions – Any exceptions to the above stated policies must be approved by the owner in writing in advance.

Great stay! The home is brand new. Very clean and close to Main Street. Margaret and Ed were very responsive. I would definitely stay here again!

Private, new and quiet home on the outskirts of Buena Vista. It's 2.5 mile walk to town. In a neighborhood that has several new houses under construction. All amenities were in good conditions: well equipped kitchen, laundry, TV, and bathrooms. The fold-out sofa bed did not lay out flat as expected. Best for 4 people, as fifth person must use sofa bed which is in center of living room.

We are glad you found this scenic home a peaceful neighborhood with all the amenities anyone one would need. We will definitely check the sleeper sofa but have had many people express how comfortable it is, which makes sense since it is a much higher quality than typical sleeper sofas. All beds are queen size and it accommodate 3 couples very nicely. The sofa just allows for 2 extra if necessary. The town is actually 1.5 miles from the house with lots of shops and restaurants, but you may be referring to a new development on South Main by the river. It is approximately 2.5 miles. As always we strive to provide a relaxing place to get away with everything anyone could need.

Beautiful home, great location! The house was clean, cozy and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. There is a great bonfire area in the back, a large dining room table that seats at least 8, and a comfortable family room to hang out in. The beds are all very nice, new... we slept so well! The mountain breeze keeps the house cool. And the views Re amazing! Would absolutely recommend this house.

We have a perfect stay at Margaret and Ed's home. It is just as you see in the photos, and with so many wonderful touches and a well-stocked kitchen - thank you so much for the bottle of wine and super-cool bottle opener. They were also very responsive and the three queen beds were very comfortable. The home is a very short drive to Buena Vista's charming Main St, the Arkansas River and many fine hikes and fishing - couldn't have been any better! I'm sure we will be back again sometime soon.

We are a fun, active couple who enjoy spending time with friends and family. One of our favorite things is to explore new hot springs throughout Colorado. We have been to many and decided Buena Vista is the best for many reasons. Aside from the two great hot springs nearby, we fell in love with the mountains here. Buena Vista is surrounded by 14ers (14,000 foot mountains). We haven't hiked them all but plan to hike many more.

Another reason we really enjoy the area is the people, rafting, biking, four wheeling and more. Ed is an excellent photographer and enjoys capturing the history of old mining and ghost towns. A few of his prints are in this home. Ed and Margaret also have a business that recycles bicycle parts into unique jewelry, clocks, gifts, and accessories, called Velo Bling Designs.

The Artist's Keyhole is just another place to have good times with great friends and the comfort of home.
