I have a self-contained studio flat in my garden. It's got its own side access via the back gate & front door. It's fully furnished with cooking facilities ( e.g. stove, oven , toaster, kettle & microwave. There's a sofa bed, underfloor heating, shower room., TV/DVD, free internet.
Set in a beautiful garden with a terraced area.
5 minutes walk to the train station & a 10-mins train ride to central London.
Easy access to the M20/M2 for escapes in the countryside, Bluewater or channel tunnel
I think what is great about this space is the autonomomy and privacy. You get to stay in a place 13 mins from buzzy and vibrant central london but your sleeping arrangements are nestled away in a mostly tranquil garden away from the hustle and pollution of downtown central London..
You are self-sufficient and have solitude. but if you want a 'bit of a chat' there is usually someone popping in and out of the garden.
Please note, during the summer school holidays and weekends the garden can be a social place. We have BBQs sometimes and guests over ( just normal family stuff). My dog also can very occasionally get carried away with barking at squirrels if I forget to call her in. This is rare but it has happened- eek!
During the winter, late autumn and early spring, the garden is very quiet place as it is too cold for much socialising.
This is vital to note if you are in London on business during the summer months and are looking for total tranquility and or very early nights!
Don't get me wrong, the environment is mostly very chilled and the majority of time it is uninhabited but it is first and foremost a family home and we do sometimes like a late night chat over a fire when it's warm out.
Guests are very welcome ( and encouraged) to join in with any gatherings. In the past, we have had great fun with guests that come and join us on the terraces.

Atención a los huéspedes
During term time, I am usually about to help and advise with getting about and what to do in London and the Kent countryside or just for shooting the breeze.
I can't guarantee I will be there all the time or indeed whilst guests are staying as I like to travel too!
I can always be reached by phone or email though.
Moreover, I have a friends who act as co hosts if I am out of town.
Otros aspectos destacables
The studio is the size of a long garage. It has one room ( like a bed sit) with kitchen area, living and sleeping area combined. The shower room is large and very modern.
I think the studio is more suited to one guest if the stay is longer than two weeks and you are not ' out and about ' all day. Nobody has complained about the size but it is snug.
Very adequate for one though.
Adults only and no animals as they may clash with mine!
There are facilities for hand washing small items plus a washing line and indoor drying rack.
There is no washing machine but there is a laundrette close by (5 minute walk).
There are parking restrictions weekdays between 10am-12pm ( 2 hours) as the house is so close to the train station . Afternoons, evenings and weekends are free. The next road ( 1 minute walk) has no parking restrictions at all.
I have a small female dog- please see photographs). She is a 6 year old Cavachon (which is a mix-breed of King Charles Cavalier and Bichon Frise). Her temperament ( like all Csvachons) is very compliant and sweet natured- she has never growled at a human). If she is about, she will come and say hello. She is not very bright so it is vital that the back door is locked at all times or she will amble off and cross main roads !
There is a swing ball, cricket set, boule set, basketball net, badminton & tennis rackets for guests to use.
There are two seating areas which guests are welcome to use. Smoking is only permitted outside.
No smoking inside. Smoking is permitted in the terraced area and ashtrays are provided.
Always lock the back gate (this is essential). I have a very silly dog who likes wandering down main roads .
No parties or events -
Please leave the flat as you found it.
Strictly two guests only
Durante el período del 01 de Diciembre de 2017 - 28 de Febrero de 2018 la estancia mínima es de 4 noches.
Hi, I am Rebecca.
I have lived in my house for fourteen years.
I teach psychology to college students
I live with my 20 year-old son and daughter. I have one cat and one small exceedingly friendly dog ( she has never growled at a human ever but she does like barking at squirrels!).
I really love music: jazz, soul, reggae, folk, R&B and funk but anything that lifts the mood or makes you want to dance.
My favourite shows are: "Game of Thrones", "Breaking Bad" and the "Wire".
I like reading, cycling and swimming, watching films, gardening, backgammon, visiting markets, festivals, pubs, clubs, museums, theatre etc .
I am definitely a people person. Part of the reason I want to do "Airbnb" is because you get to meet such a diverse and interesting bunch of people both as a host and traveller.
