Likely LANGLEY's ~BEST LOCATION at an AFFORDABLE PRICE~ RAVEN ROOM GUEST SUITE is a SMALL APARTMENT on the ground level of our home consisting of a living room, bedroom and bathroom (NO kitchen) with a private entrance. While the apartment is self-contained, the home's ground level also includes rooms which are not part of our AIRBNB. Consistent PRAISE & GREAT REVIEWS for water view RAVEN ROOM GUEST SUITE, an easy walk to everything. "You had me at 'Enamelware Garden.'" said one happy guest.
"RAVEN ROOM GUEST SUITE" is more than just a room, it's a COMFORTABLE & PRIVATE APARTMENT, but without a full kitchen. It does have its very own coffee & tea pots, small fridge, microwave oven, and small sink. Enjoy a bedroom with Queen bed, adjacent bathroom with tile shower, AND your own living room/game room with a PRIVATE ENTRANCE, all located on the home's ground floor. While the apartment is self-contained and private, other rooms and storage areas also occupy the ground floor, but those areas are not accessible to guests.
Remember, this is "a home stay," and your AIRBNB hosts occupy the remainder of the house. They do not, however, intrude upon guests who seek the apartment's total privacy. Additionally it is IMPORTANT to emphasize that this is a HOME STAY, like staying in a relative or friend's house. It is not an antiseptic style hotel room. We're not perfect so we might have missed a speck of dust or a cobweb, but you will enjoy fresh clean linens, vacuumed floors, and a clean bathroom. If you insist on antiseptic hotel room and minimalist furnishings, this is NOT the space for you.

Servicios y zonas comunes
Guests enjoy a PRIVATE ENTRANCE access to RAVEN ROOM GUEST SUITE (a small apartment) located on the LOWER LEVEL of our host-occupied home. It enjoys one bedroom with Queen bed, a living room with sofa and game table, a large, flatscreen tv, games, WIFI, and a private bathroom with tiled SHOWER. A coffee maker, electric tea pot, small fridge, and microwave oven are located nearby, but there are no large cooking facilities nor kitchen, per se. Remember, our home is host-occupied and we enjoy two small dogs, so IF YOU ARE DOG ALLERGIC, we are not a good fit.
Atención a los huéspedes
Interaction with GUESTS varies according to what our guests wish. With a private entrance guests can enjoy total privacy and not interact with us at all. Alternatively, if they wish to chat and "pick our brains," we are friendly to that too. Likewise, if our guests enjoy household pets, our dogs - Holly and Jip (both terriers) are more than friendly! HOWEVER, IF YOU ARE DOG-ALLERGIC, RAVEN ROOM would NOT be a good fit.

Upon entering and exiting the property, there is one set of concrete steps, about 8 of them. Street parking. Safe and quiet neighborhood. No kitchen, but modest facilities such as a dorm fridge, sink, coffee maker, and microwave.
IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO DOGS -or- FEATHER COMFORTERS, WE ARE NOT A GOOD FIT. We are a warm and friendly HOME STAY, like lodging with friends. Your hosts, Sharen & Simon, live in the home's upper unit. RAVEN ROOM GUEST SUITE is on the lower level, comprised of a living room, bedroom, private bathroom and private entrance. Two friendly dogs live with us, BUT they are not permitted in your space. You may hear a little noise from us upstairs. The dogs bark occasionally, but we quiet them. Nights are VERY QUIET. We are a relaxed and casual B, not a B&B, and will leave you alone unless you desire our attention. LANGLEY residents since 2000 (formerly of Laguna Beach, CA), we think our village-by-the-sea is simply one of the most charming, fun and friendly communities you will ever visit. We trust your LANGLEY visit will be happy and delightfully memorable.
We will consider your WELL-BEHAVED DOG, but a list of rules apply, and AGREEMENT MUST BE SECURED IN WRITING FROM US - when you book with us and PRIOR to your stay.

2. House-trained, well-behaved and quiet dog only.
3. Must be on a flea-treatment program.
4. Must have own bed on floor. NO sleeping on furniture whatsoever.
5. Must be on leash when outdoors, except in our small fenced outdoor guest-yard area.
6. An additional fee of $20/per night per dog is imposed over and above room rental fee.
7.Guests will not hold hosts responsible for ANY issues related to their dog.
Many thanks for considering a stay at RAVEN ROOM GUEST HOUSE.
Sharen is a former New Yorker, retired AD & PR executive, who with her Made-in-England husband Simon (a semi-retired A/V engineer) moved to Langley in early 2001, having moved here from Laguna Beach, CA. They both adore the Pacific Northwest and especially this wee village by the sea. Experienced travelers themselves, they provide a casually warm, friendly and art-appreciative home. Sharen manages the page called "I LOVE LANGLEY" which through colorful images and annotations describes life on South WHIDBEY ISLAND, with a special emphasis, of course, on LANGLEY. To explore Langley virtually, she invites you to "like" I LOVE LANGLEY on .
