This is a 30 ft diameter Farmstead Yurt ( 700 sq ft) on the edge of the forest. There is a wood stove, a sink, electricity (hot plate, kettle, toaster oven) and plenty of room to spread out. There are 2 five gallon water dispensers, and we will keep them full throughout your stay. The available berths 'bedrooms' separated by sheets are a single bed with a roll out trundle bed for a second guest, a queen bed and a double bed, and a couch in front of the fire.

The space is rustic and at the edge of the wild. Think 'camping like a Raja' with a wood stove, bed, couch, table, sink, wood stove and solid cedar floors. A single extension cord provides electricity; we have a toaster, tea kettle, popcorn maker, and a propane cook stove.
Indoors there is the world's first unisex, water-less, composting urinal (the first if you don't count every bush on the planet); an outhouse is a hundred feet away.

We stayed in Terry and Erin's yurt during a motorcycle trip over the Cascade Loop. The yurt is very cozy and rustic. The farm breakfast was excellent. It was great hanging out with the animals and strolling around the farm. Overall one of the best Airbnb experience we've had!

Stay here and you will not be disappointed. A perfect glamping experience, complete with wood-fired stove, farm-fresh goodies, and the North Cascades at your fingertips. Terry was great at responding and being available if need be, and gave us the space to have a quiet weekend getaway adventure. Thanks again Terry!

Terry and Erin are wonderful hosts! Definitely a camping experience, but with the luxuries of bedding, shelter, and a stove/kitchen. Good basecanp for hiking the North Cascades!

Terry's hospitality and his thoughtfully- & inventively-designed yurt made our stay at Forest Farmstead a memorable experience that we can't wait to repeat in the future :-) Four friends and I came to overnight in late-September before hiking Cascade Pass & Sahale Arm. Terry's place is extremely versatile though ... you could also make it your headquarters for unparalleled stargazing, cooking & relaxing cozily by a fire under the skylight, and/or visiting an active farm. (On our all-too-brief stay, we got to see kittens, ducks, chickens, & sheep, and had fun watching the pigs appreciatively devour our compostable food scraps.) The flavor and freshness of Terry & family's Forest Farmstead produce is phenomenal! (We savored apples, tomatoes, potatoes, & cucumbers). Definitely take him up on the opportunity to purchase some fruit & veggies from his fields. Beds are comfy, blankets are warm, and the convenient composting urinal saves trips to the outhouse on a chilly night. Outhouse is virtually odorless, due to the ingenious composting set-up Terry has engineered, and is equipped with handsoap and water tank. The kitchen is generously-outfitted with an apartment-size four-burner gas stove (simply turn yellow valve knob on the pipe behind stove, to allow gas to flow), pans, dishware & dish soap. Terry and his family have even set up a pantry of local homemade goods like lamb & veggie stew, honey, and sauerkraut. (Honor-system / cash payment.) Terry's pre-trip/during-stay communication is lightning-quick and good-humored. We enjoyed chatting, and I think he would be equally comfortable with allowing guests to be self-sufficient and do their own thing. Fresh-smelling cedar floorboards & skylight combine to make the yurt like your very-own spaceship-treehouse-fortress. I hope you enjoy your stay at Terry' yurt as much as we did ... we are already planning our next trip :-) !

We loved the yurt! We were really late in the evening arriving (around 9 pm) and it was dark and we had a hard time finding it just by the address. A great location for any trip to the North Cascade National Park!! The yurt was perfect for a place to stay for an adventurous weekend :)

Terry's yurt is in a great location! Perfect for exploring the North Cascades or just getting ice cream and coffee from the farm stand a short walk away. Since it's a yurt, there's still a camping aspect to things. But with all the amenities, beds, and the urinal INSIDE the yurt, you really can't find better. Plus, nothing's better than a wood-fired stove after a long day of hiking through a snow storm on a mountain pass.
