A great double room in a ground floor tenement flat with its own entrance and big rooms with high ceilings.
It's in a brilliant location for festival venues and nightlife, pretty much opposite the Queens Hall (it's my kitchen clock). It's 10 minutes' walk from the Old Town or the Pleasance, 15 from Princes Street, 5 minutes from the Meadows or Holyrood Park.
My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers, and anyone wanting easy access to the city.
You'll have your own room, with double bed (with bedding and towels), sofa, wardrobe and chest of drawers. It's pretty spacious and overlooks the rear garden (from a height), which in typical tenement fashion is pretty wild. There are a few squirrels who are regularly in evidence in the trees if you keep an eye out for them.
Servicios y zonas comunes
The bathroom has a WC, bath and shower which I share, but I'm pretty flexible and I'll do my best to work around when you want to use it.
You'll also have full access to the kitchen, and you're welcome to use the washing machine and dryer, cooking facilities (though I'd prefer to avoid strong smells because I also dry laundry in the kitchen!), and cookware and crockery etc.
I'll make sure the kitchen's stocked with fresh milk and cereal, bread and jam, tea and coffee etc. so you can help yourself to breakfast - just let me know if you've any special dietary requirements and I'll be sure to get the right stuff in :)
Atención a los huéspedes
I work from home, so I'm generally around to help out or answer questions etc., or help you navigate the city. I'm very easy going, so I'm happy to keep quietly out of your way or chat - I'll take my cues from you!

Checking in and out: because I work from home, I can be pretty flexible on checking in and out, so if you know you'll arrive at an odd time just let me know, and I'll do my best to accommodate it.
If you come back late in the wee hours of the morning, I may be asleep, and so might my neighbours, so please respect that and we'll get along really well.
Runner, architect... I mostly work with natural buildings (straw bale, clay, lime etc.); in my spare time I'm President of one of Edinburgh's running clubs, which leads to plenty of running, and also a fair amount of socialising, often with other Frontrunners clubs around the UK...
I also love modern Scottish folk music, swimming, walking, reading, meeting new people, learning new things, finding new places and cultures etc. I like to travel light, though I often fail ;) and I'm clean and pretty quiet around the house (well used to sharing flats in 19th Century tenements).
Since I work from home, I'm generally around to answer questions and help with whatever's required - feel free to ask. I've lived in Edinburgh for 18 years now, so I know it pretty well!
