We had wanted a dog-friendly place to stay during the eclipse and found this and decided it would be fun to try staying in a yurt. Plus the acreage would be great roaming for our dog. You need to bring all bedding and linens. We brought our own dishes, silverware and napkins as we don't like using plastic, but if we hadn't, Missy, the on-site manager, said we could use their kitchen stuff. It was great to be able to put our food in their freezer and refrigerator. We borrowed a box fan and a couple of folding chairs. We kayaked, walked around, and went in the pool. It was a great place for what we needed, but you should expect a camp atmosphere!!

We really enjoyed our stay, Dan and the staff were very friendly and did a great job of communicating with us. They were very open to letting us use their facilities. You should be prepared to have "campground" like amenities such as no heating or A/C and cold showers. If you are OK with that then you should have a great stay. We also found that several of the kayaks had holes in them, but I imagine that the staff will be fixing or replacing them.

Camp manitowa was amazing. Not sure if our pets had more fun then us , but from the kayaks to the wood burning stove to the open play space, this location is a real treat for families, children at heart and nature lovers.

Our yurt spirit came to life here at lady camp ! This stay was great for campfires , cooking , winery, hiked and canoeing . We had so much fun cooking on the cast iron stove and camping in the yurts . This is a great place for family and friends we will be back !️ bring a crock pot for easy meals

Staying in the Yurts at Camp Manitowa was easily one of the best parts of our whole trip. The yurts were nice and warmed up for us before we got there, and we got to enjoy all the camp grounds including the lake the next day. Highly recommend staying here!

Note that there are no essentials at this place - this means that there is no bedding or towels. This surprised us, but we should have expected it since the listing included "no essentials". Otherwise, it was a warm place to stay with mediocre beds. We also found it odd that the dorm rooms only locked from the outside of the room and that the dorm building, which we stayed in, didn't lock at all.
