Staying here was like borrowing the house of a friend with refined taste who trusts you completely with his/her home and its contents. This house is in superior shape and is beautifully designed, with high quality furnishings. There are three bedrooms downstairs sharing a bathroom, a master suite upstairs, and a large combined living/kitchen area with a wall of windows opening onto a private, green, nicely landscaped backyard. The charm of the house does not strike you from the curb: the house is situated on a flag lot and only after you enter from the (relatively busy) street and proceed down the driveway do you get the full effect. There is a high-end, Whole-Foods-like grocery store and a few other shops and restaurants within short walking distance, and Amazon Park and other Eugene amenities are a moderate distance away. The bedding was extremely comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked with cooking and serving items. The main living area and kitchen have an attractive stained concrete floor that causes noise to carry a bit to the bedrooms, which may be a factor if not everyone in your party is settling down for the night at the same time. The house was immaculately clean and communicating with the owner was easy.
