El alojamiento

Our space is unique because it floats!!! The boat life is quite different than life on land. Boats have different electrical, water supply and also a sensitive sewage systems. Just keep in mind that floating on the water is a unlike what we're use to on land. Happy Floating!

Guidelines for Staying Aboard
ϖ Do not rearrange any lines on the boat or dock.
ϖ No open flames on the boat or dock.
ϖ Please do not flip or turn any switches or gears on the helm.
ϖ A key to the marina bathroom is located on the helm.
ϖ The salon couch and the galley seating both turn into beds.
ϖ The salon A/C and the galley A/C are adjustable. Do not adjust the A/C in the V-berth because it only works on the one setting.
ϖ Do not leave lights on when they are not in use. The lights are solar powered.
ϖ Lights are turned on/off by switches on the light or a pull switch next to the light.
ϖ Do not open the windows in the V-berth or bathroom. You may open the other windows by lifting up and sliding them down.
ϖ Do not go into the engine room. If your curious about it you can call the Capt. and he’ll show it to you.
ϖ #1 RULE: DO NOT PUT PAPER IN THE TOILET Marine toilets are extreme pains in the ass when clogged with toilet paper and that’s why the fork is so important.
ϖ The flush button is located on the upper left hand side of the cabinet where the sink is.
ϖ Please place used linens in the hamper and fold blankets.
ϖ Please take out the trash and don’t leave dirty dishes.
ϖ Remember that you are on your own risk when on the boat and dock.
ϖ Always wear a life jacket when on the water.
ϖ Please respect the Sherie Poppins as a historical piece of art. Remember never sit or stand on the rails, this could damage the boat. Please do not climb to the roof because it will damage the solar panels on the top.
ϖ Be sure to sign our guest book and give us an online review.
Enjoy your stay!

Staying in this gorgeous antique yacht was a privilege, and I am happy to think that we are contributing to her future upkeep! We spent several evenings just sitting on the deck visiting with our friends who joined us, and enjoying the refreshing breeze after long hot days on the beach.

This boat is a beautiful piece of history. The marina was nice and quiet and the people very friendly. Overall, it was a great experience my family and I will fondly remember.

My husband and I stayed on the Sherie Poppins with our two girls. It was a great experience, one we will never forget! We had a lot of fun living on a boat for a couple days. Everyone at the marina were friendly and we were minutes from the beaches. Sherie was a great host! If you are looking for a unique stay and want to unplug this is the place! No tvs, no wifi. It was great to hang out and talk! The boat was clean, had everything we needed and more charm than you'll find anywhere else!

We had a great two-night stay aboard the Sherie Poppins, (myself, my husband, and our three boys (4, 7, 13)). We were making a trip with several stops across the panhandle and thought this would be such a unique place to stay with the boys. We surprised them (had to tell them that we did *not* buy a boat, though!), and they were so excited to climb aboard. Scheduling didn't allow for us to go out on the open water (totally my fault - I waited til the last minute!), but we made the best of it! The interior of the boat was surprisingly bigger and roomier that I anticipated. The kitchen was stocked with basic dishes and things, with a refrigerator/freezer and microwave oven. Clean bath and bed linens were supplied, also. The 4 and 7 y/o slept on the bed in the middle of the boat area (I don't know boat lingo!), the 14 y/o slept in the back bed and my husband and I had the largest bed in the back. It was snug and slightly claustrophobic for me (personally), but it's nothing that I didn't expect, and everyone else was fine and comfy. :) We made it work, but the toilet issue (again, expected so it wasn't a surprise) is something to consider when booking this AirBNB. There are "real" toilets at the marina that are locked and available to use (keys provided by owners). The only thing that kind of turned me off was the interior (walls, floors, surfaces) really needs a good scrub down. Despite having the clean linens, things just didn't feel clean at all. The previous cleaning from the guests before us was either super-rushed/last-minute or it just hasn't been done well in some time. Overall, we enjoyed our stay on the Sherie Poppins and enjoyed the experience. :)

My sister and our two sons (age 7 and 4) stayed on the Sherie Poppins for four nights in early July and everyone had a fantastic time! I warned everyone that it could be a little rustic as it is an historic yacht, but we were all impressed with what she had to offer. The kids really enjoyed the novelty of staying on a boat in the marina, and watching the other boats come and go. The marina has a restaurant and shop, and a very nice private shower and bathroom for marina guests only. We did have a problem with the AC not working in the berth, making it unbearably hot. However we were able to comfortably sleep in the galley and salon and Sherie did what she could to compensate us for the inconvenience. We had a great time despite the heat (it was July after all), and we plan to come back!

Great boat with an even better view. We had the basic amenities to be expected from the boat life. Slept better than ever with the boat rocking me to sleep. There's a pretty good restaurant sets away from the boat and grocery stores are quite accessible. We had a great time overall.
