A wonderfully quiet location well off the beaten track. The upstairs rooms are able to sleep many, and the beds are comfortable. The stream at the bottom of the garden is very pretty and the opportunity to see emu, deer and wallabies is great.

Nice small cabin in the bush. Who mins from Jindabyne. A good bas for summer mountain biking. Internet only good enough to send txt messages. No fly screens on windows. So to cool the house you had to share it with many flys.

Thanks Phil. Its hard to manage the fly problem in summer.. I have tried fly screens but have found that they seam to trap the flys as people let them in when opening doors .. windows ..etc. I have adopted a fly in fly out approach where you leave the windows and doors open.. seams to work for some. Still working on that issue. Hope you had a pleasant stay.

Thanks Jennie .. Will put an order for a dump of snow with Hewy for your next visit.. Most people get a dump of snow at the cabin July - August really just depends of the intensity of the weather..

For what it's worth, it's definitely a great place to disconnect from the world and be lost in the wilderness here. It's remoteness with no cell phone coverage is quickly forgotten with plenty of room for a few people and decent facilities. Very homely away from home, especially …

Respuesta de Jim:
Thanks Heejin, I do recommend a SUV or 4WD, mainly for winter. The cabin is located at an altitude of 1150 meters and only 15 km from the Main Range of Kosciusko and frequently gets snow. This year we had above average rainfall with a particular gully raker in mid July of 100mm in a day responsible for wiping out the majority of snow cover in Perisher. The result at the Cabin was that springs that were never there appeared and resulted in difficult access even with 4X4.
