Located in the heart of the Swanage Conservation Area and a 3 minute walk to the sea, Angel Cottage is an 1860s restored and stylish 'stay-cation' property and family home. With its own private parking space right outside, it also has stunning hill and sea views. Several of Dorset's top destinations including Corfe Castle are a short drive/cycle away.

The open-plan sitting room and kitchen forms the hub of the house, it also enjoys a pretty and sheltered courtyard garden. Scandi touches and Neptune furniture are in abundance and all the bed linen is fresh and white, largely from The White Company. This house has a boutique hotel feel but offers all the benefits of self-catering if you enjoy entertaining with friends and family or simply kicking off your shoes and relaxing when you're staying away. My family has always loved the outdoors, seaside walks, cycling & fresh air, so when I saw this gorgeous Purbeck stone cottage, with sea views, in the heart of Swanage, I had to buy it! The restoration, over 15 months, was painstaking but is now completed. Named after the character Angel Clare in Thomas Hardy’s Dorset-based novel ‘Tess of the D’Urberville’s’, the cottage has nods to its 1860s origins, but with brand new everything from the roof, to windows, central heating & floors. We also have a wood-burning stove in the lounge, which makes a cosy return after a day outdoors by the seaside. You will also find a selection of paperback books and board games, which you’re welcome to borrow.
Interiors is a passion of mine and I have enjoyed creating this little haven. We are a house-proud family and, although the house is pet free and smoke free, we trust that anyone staying here will enjoy its comforts and care for it as we do.
