It's on top of a mountain, and very quiet.

This is the perfect little cabin in the mountains. We took our 1 year old and our dog and had a great time. It's small but has everything you need. It's exactly what we were looking for. Just load up on groceries and you're all set!

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at the cabin this past weekend. When we arrived, the table was beautifully set and the radio was on and set to NPR. We really felt welcomed! The cathedral ceiling was beautiful, the wooden bed frame was rustic (and the foot board shelf was quite useful), and the whole cabin was just as charming as could be! There is not much storage space in terms of closets/dresser drawers, so pack light! This is not a "mountain view" cabin --- you won't be able to see the smokies from the wraparound porch (at least not during this part of the year). BUT it was really cool being surrounded by tall trees, kind of like being in a treehouse for adults! We fully enjoyed the hot tub and the Jacuzzi, and the bed was very comfortable. The TV was small and outdated, but we didn't come to the mountains to watch TV! The boom box was a nice touch --- we brought it outside to listen to the local alternative radio station while we relaxed in the hot tub. We did hike down to the swimming hole, but it was a bit hard to find the trail. You have to walk down an adjacent gravel road (River Way?) and then follow the trail at the bottom (to the left). It's only about a 20 or 30 minute hike. We saw some amazing things in nature --- even got a video of a beautiful Luna Moth with a broken wing. It was nice to have a dishwasher, as we cooked most of our meals in the cabin. We were going to grill some steaks, but couldn't because of intermittent rain showers that soaked the charcoal grill. I would recommend bringing a portable grill, if you can, because the grill provided is in an awkward area (basically in the driveway). The bathroom shower is small, but we didn't use it that much anyway. Definitely bring your own towels, as the ones provided were a bit stiff and scratchy. Bring some bubble bath and candles to set the mood in the Jacuzzi. Keep in mind that it will take some time for the Jacuzzi to fill up - maybe about 20 minutes, as the water pressure was a bit low. Some basic things, like dish soap, were provided, but remember to bring paper towels and some sharp, sturdy knives if you want to eat steak. Be careful using the kitchen sink --- it's a small sink and the water pressure was very strong. The country roads surrounding the cabin were absolutely breathtaking. We rode around in my convertible when the weather was nice. I would recommend driving a vehicle with four-wheel drive, but my little sports car did OK. When we weren't at the cabin, we visited Pigeon Forge for a miniature golfing excursion and a trip to Dollywood. It's only about 25 minutes away. The park has a daycare for your dog (Doggywood), so you don't...

We really enjoyed our stay in the cabin. It was scenic and remote, but close enough to downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge if you wanted get out and about.

The cabin was very private and beautiful. It was nice to get away from it all. The hot tub was great and very relaxing as well as the jacuzzi tub when it was a little rainy out. (The hot tub area is covered we were just being lazy). We did bring our own tv so that my husband and I could watch movies we downloaded before hand and play video games. It was a wonderful time. There is no wifi so bring entertainment with you and download your movies or bring dvds. We brought our guitar and ukulele, books, tv/video games. The hills are high to get to the place so i would bring a truck or suv personally.
