The Pop Inn is a perfect place to introduce you to my favorite neighborhood in my hometown! With 62 positive reviews I am positive you will fall in love with the West Side! Located on Buffalo's West Side above Sweetness 7 Cafe + The Pop In - A Community Event Space I created with my partner, you will fall in love with Buffalo's most culturally diverse area!
Welcome to The Pop Inn! This apartment is completely inspired by the City of Buffalo. Located directly above Sweetness_7 Cafe (the best cafe in the city) and The Pop In - a community art/event space I created with my partner - it'll be hard not to fall in love with Buffalo when you anchor yourself here during your stay! This creative one bedroom apartment boasts 9' ceilings, original hardwood floors, and has everything you need for your stay in The Queen City. After successfully creating and operating an Airbnb in Brooklyn (I have over 100 positive reviews) I wanted to create a welcoming space in Buffalo that is a true reflection of my passion for the city I call home. The space is made up of my pen + ink illustrations and artwork inspired by Buffalo's great architecture. The furniture is a blend of new pieces along with Mid- Century and retro decor. I painted the entire apartment a beautiful pale blue color which is inspired by a motel I stayed at in Marfa, Texas. You will also find a few large closets for your belongings.
I am a Superhost and always strive to have a clean, affordable, and creative place for your stay. Let me know if you have any questions!

My pillows and mattress are covered with hypo-allergenic covers which also keep out bugs. Please read my reviews left by guests who have stayed to see if my place is a good fit for you. My second bed is a pull out couch in the living room, should you decide to use it.
Just like living in any residential apartment building you will hear noise of people coming and going. You will most likely hear other tenants walking, talking, and watching TV in their apartments. This is an apartment building and so there will be noise from the other folks who live here.
Shoes always come off at the door. I try to be a quiet neighbor so I expect others to be mindful of stomping, screaming, or playing loud music. Please turn off the lights when you leave and DOUBLE check that the gas on the stove is turned off. My rules may sound harsh but I take a lot of pride in my space and would simply ask that while you are in my apartment to pretend like you are visiting your in-laws. Just be respectful and tidy and you will get a wonderful review to take with you to your next Airbnb adventures. Folks who mess up my space and leave a mess will get a bad review.
There is absolutely NO Smoking cigarettes or weed inside the apartment. If you do...I will leave you a bad review.
All of the neighbors in the building are working professionals and so I can say that the building is safe. Please be mindful when entering and leaving the main building door. Like anywhere else don't leave the door unlocked and be aware of your surroundings.
I have a small garbage can under the sink. Feel free to put trash in this can. Sometimes you will get small bags from grocery stores. I like to fill those up first with trash and hang from a hook on a cupboard to save on having to use the larger can. You can take these bags out daily which helps keep smells out of the apartment. There are large garbage cans outside the care downstairs on Lafayette. Garbage should be thrown into those bins through your stay.
While I recommend getting out and going to Sweetness_7 Cafe downstairs because it's the best cafe in the city. I will supply local coffee in my fridge and a FRENCH press you will find on my kitchen shelf if you are desperate. Just use the tea pot to boil the water and presto you are all set. Do not throw your coffee grinds into the sink. I think the best solution is to throw them with some water down the toilet.
If you use water out of my Brita filter in the fridge please fill er' up when you leave.
IMPORTANT: Do not leave ANY FOOD in the Fridge unless it's condiments that won't spoil. Anything that you bought during your stay...please throw away before you leave. So no FRUIT or BREAD or MILK etc... that way the fridge is always left clean from anything that can spoil.
Towels are given to you in the beginning of your stay. Because most people stay for 5 days please only use the towels provided. Do not take any other towels unless you let me know you need one. I need to make sure between my cleaners and my guests that laundry is coordinated properly.
If you bring your own towel please use that before using my stock pile. Just make sure before you leave you hang them over the shower or the bathroom door to dry so my cleaners can place them in the laundry basket.
FINAL REMINDER: I am offering you my space at a really good price because I want you to see my favorite part of the city. Please be respectful of my things and my space. (This comes after a few bad guests unfortunately) Clean up your mess. Wash your dishes etc. Don't smoke inside the apartment or even try to hang your head out the window. Smoke outside the building. Garbage goes outside at the end of your stay. Please don't move furniture around or take anything off the walls. (I had guests remove the large mirror across from the bed because they were superstitious)...RANDOM!
To the guests who leave my place just as they found it...THANK YOU!
Final reminder: if you are a messy person please move on to the next listing.
