Mr Massimo and Mrs Rosy are the owners
Many years ago Massimo and Rosy found out through a friend that the old Palazzo Pallavicini of Piegaro which they had visited when they were young lovers was about to be sold at a judicial auction. Until this point a buyer was not to be found. The judge assigned the Palazzo to them for a very small payment and only afterwards whilst they were walking around and into the Palazzo they realized the grandness of the place and also their thoughtlessness especially when they found a colony of doves in one of the rooms.
But because of their extreme enthusiasm and will power they immediately started working spending months on this project which turned into years of renovating recuperating the spirit of the building with its beautiful frescoes and its warm ambience.
The results were largely rewarded and today the Palazzo Pallavicini is called Ca’ de’ Principi and is a residence charm hotel just as it was two centuries ago when the Marchesi of that time were hosts to the Roman and French nobility.
And while Massimo was engaged in letting the world know about the re-opening of the historical residence Rosy was busy making the hotel into an even more inviting and pleasant place. A simple, traditional kitchen was started whereby only local products are used. With the collaboration of her young chef every morning fresh cakes and tarts are baked for our continental breakfast buffet.
You just have to come and meet this couple and their magnificent residence !
