This rustic but comfortable cabin on a quiet secluded pond has been in my family since it was built. We enjoy sharing it with people who appreciate its unique qualities of peacefulness and natural beauty: swimming, boating, fishing, and wildlife.
This is a quiet 250 acre pond with about a dozen houses on it, two little islands, and a small sand beach used by Sasndwich residents on the opposite side of the pond from the cabin. No motorboats are allowed on the pond, so it is generally canoes, kayaks, and small sailboats. There is fishing for sunfish, pickerel, perch and cat fish. Trout fishing is in nearby ponds. The house is at the end of a 1/4 mile dirt driveway. Nearest neighbors are not visible from the house. Center Sandwich is a quaint and picturesque little New England village with a library, several shops and public tennis courts. Good hiking, biking area with lots of trails.
- Guests may not play loud music after 9 pm. This is a quiet, wild pond.

I am a writer, and my husband is a writer and conservation consultant. The cabin we have for rent has been in my family since it was built in 1955. Since our children have grown up, we use the cabin as a writing retreat, and to spend time with our family and grandchildren. We enjoy sharing it with people who appreciate its unique qualities of peacefulness and natural beauty.
