Poplar Cottage is set in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside. The three bed cottage overlooks the Lower Woods Nature Reserve, one of the largest ancient oak woodland in England, Poplar Cottage is close to Bath, Bristol, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Stroud, Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust, Westonbirt Arbouritum, the Cotswold Way, Tetbury, Cirencester, Castle Coombe, Badminton Horse Trials, and many other family-friendly activities.
Poplar Cottage sleeps up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms - One large double bedroom with stunning views across the countryside, a second Double bedroom and a twins. All rooms have storage facilities - Wardrobe, drawers etc. There is an ensuite for the master bedroom, and a large family bathroom upstairs (with shower over bath). The farmhouse kitchen is well equipped and there is a spacious living area with plenty of seating for up to 6 people. There is also a separate dining room which seats 6. The living area opens out through patio doors to a wonderful veranda and patio overlooking the Nature Reserve. On the decking we have a dining table and chairs (seats 6) .
Surrounded by landscaped gardens and wonderful countryside, Poplar Cottage is located in the quiet village of Wickwar. In the village there is a a busy pub, a village shop, a cafe and hairdressers. And a children's playground and sports field is only a short walk away.

There is off road parking for a single car in the garden and parking for a second car outside the cottage. The cottage has a large garden that is available for guests to use.

Poplar Cottage looks out over the Lower Woods nature reserve. It is one of the largest ancient woodlands in the south-west of England and covers three square kilometres. The reserve has 23 woods and coppices whose boundaries have remained unchanged for several centuries.
The Cotswolds - Poplar Cottage is a short drive from Tetbury and Cirencester, known as the Capital of the Cotswolds. Many scenic and beautiful Cotswold villages and towns are nearby including Bibury, Stroud, Nailsworth and Burford.

All beds are furnished with duvets and soft cotton bedding. Bath towels and hand towels are not supplied. We provide a welcome pack of locally produced items for your arrival.
Entertainment - 40" flat screen tv with built in freeview, Dvd player, dvd selection, board games, books, maps and lots of information about the local area. Decking area overlooking the nature reserve has table seating up to 6 people.
We have a well equipped kitchen with an age, a built in double oven/grill and two ring gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, a microwave. All Bed linen is provided, however guests are required to bring their own towels.
