Florence Area Chateau - Country House, Chianti Tuscan Region and Florence City in one
Really beautiful property. Tower, originally a watchtower, XIII century, in a panoramic position with a wide view of the Chianti Region, 10 miles from Florence, 1/2 mile from a village with stores and restaurants, 3 miles from the train station with frequent trains to downtown Florence in ~20 minutes.
2000+ sq feet, 2 Suites with bathroom, Living & Dining rooms, fully equipped kitchen, terraces, fireplace, WiFi

The Tower itself built in the 1200s, Master Quarters ~2000 sq. ft (~200 sq. meters) over 2 Suites, ~10 acres (~4 hectares) of land available to Guests.
The Guest Quarters and the Tower itself are the second and third independent Quarters of the Estate buildings. The Property is on the hills of Florence, northern edge of the Chianti region, originally, in the 1200s, a watchtower.

The estate encompasses the beauty of those hills, with terraced olive trees, oak and pine trees with a stunning view of the Valley. It allows for the life of a "Tuscan castle", firewood places, home cooked dinners, relaxing in the terraces or walking, hiking in the property, enjoying beautiful sunsets.
Not to mention the many little restaurants, osterias, trattorias within a 5 miles radius with typical Tuscan Cuisine at extremely reasonable prices. Further, the property is located at the Northern edge of the Chianti Region, putting some of the most prestigious wineries dwell within reach and allowing for unique trips, tours and excursions.

Or the entire experience may be taken as a "trip to Florence without its congestion and cost". A ~3 miles drive to the railway train station in Sieci with ample free parking will get you in ~20-30 minutes by (frequent) train to the downtown Florence Train Station. Spend the day in Florence, with all it has to offer in terms of its arts, performances, museums, shopping, sightseeing, tours, boutiques, restaurants and then back to the villa after or for dinner. Or drive to Florence, ~10 miles (~15 km) by car.
Or obviously a mix of the two experiences, beauty of Tuscan Hills-Chianti Region and Florence in its splendor.

La Torre estate's buildings consist of three independent Quarters, only the Master Quarters available to guests for rental at this stage, the other two areas are at present not rented:

the Master Quarters (la Casa Padronale) occupy the entire first floor of the Tower, and of the North, South and East additions to it. They consist of two independent suites with bathroom, living room, dining room and kitchen over an area of ~2000 sq ft (~200 sq meters).

The Guest Quarters (il Fienile) are the West addition and consist of one bedroom, bathroom, living/dining room and kitchen, over an area of ~ 1,000 sq ft (~100 sq meters), not available for rental though we may discuss it if interested, and finally

the Tower (la Torre) itself, extending over two floors, second and third floors of the original construction, and the terrace at the top. kitchen, dining room and fireplace, bedroom with bathroom en suite on one level, large open space living/bed room on the second level, terrace on the third level, over an area of ~1200 sq feet (~120 sq meters), not available for rental though again we may discuss it if interested.

If this property attracts you so far and you are considering a stay, feel free to contact me with any questions, curiosities, clarifications or concerns – we are proud of it and we are happy to share it and discuss it!

Four plus hectares (10+ acres) of private property with private road, couple of acres fenced with access gate, super safe

The entire property is accessible to guests. As per pics on the Listing, numerous terraces around the house, walking/hiking in the property itself and the woods around it, a 1 km or couple of minutes ride to the nearby village, walk up the hill half a kilometer to the neighbor house and say hi, they are very friendly.

Terraces all around the Tower and its additions, with romantic peaceful views of the Chianti Region for miles and miles, private balcony in the Master Suite with astounding view as well.

Use the herbs in the herbs garden, pick up the flower in the flower garden, please do not remove firewood logs from the firewood shed, there is a nominal charge for those, at cost, refer to Listing; the groundskeeper will refill the firewood trunk inside the house if you so request.

Guests interaction with Personnel, whether it be Housekeeper or Groundskeeper, the Estate Manager and on occasion myself may be as intense or as sporadic as wanted/needed. The Housekeeper and Groundskeeper live in the village, both speak Italian of course, Housekeeper speaks Polish as well and some English. For some mysterious reason, in the past there were never any communication issues, and we had guests from the USA, England, Germany and France. Housekeeper, Groundskeeper and the Estate Manager are an invaluable resource, present, available and yet not visible.
I may always be reached by email or text message.
And so will the local Property Manager, Bruno, that communicates in English and much better in French.
A full set of Emergency phone numbers, including those of the persons mentioned above, will be made available to you upon confirmation of the Reservation. We are in call 24/7 for emergencies.
Typically we will get to know each other a bit prior to formalizing the reservation. Once more, as I said, my local Agent, the real estate agent and manager of the property, a quintessential Tuscan that speaks some French and English remains the main resource locally.

Florence Area Chateau / Country House

Really unique, beautiful property. Tower dated to the medieval period, situated in a unique panoramic position with a wide open view over the Arno valley, at only 12 miles from Florence, mostly highway, less than 1 mile from a small village with stores and cafes and three miles from the Sieci train station with ample free parking and frequent trains that take you downtown Florence (Santa Maria Novella Stazione Centrale) in ~20 minutes.

The property encompasses about 4,000+ sq ft of living space (about 400+ sq metres). Approximately 2000+ sq ft (about 200+ sq meters) in the Master Quarters. It is in great conditions and features many characteristics of the traditional Tuscan architecture. It is the only one being rented at present and it encompasses the ground floor of the entire property, as you may see in the listing thumbnail pic. The other two areas, Guest Quarters and Tower per-se are not rented this year, there is no construction work in progress!

The property is reached via a private dirt road and is surrounded by 10+ acres (4+ hectares) of oak, pines and cypress woodland as well as lawn and stone terraces, and flowers gardens, herbs gardens, with 300+ mature olive trees. Approximately one acre (0.4 hectares) of the land around the Tower complex is enclosed by a fence. The front yard of the Master Quarters themselves are further fenced.

On the ground floor, the Master Quarters are an addition that extends and encompasses the ground level of the Tower per se. The Master Quarters consist of two independent suites (the Master Suite and the Guests Suite) each with a bathroom and ample closet space. The Master Suite features a second independent entrance to the East Terrace and a balcony with a stunning view. The Master Quarters feature a living room and a dining room with large panoramic windows looking South towards the Chianti Hills, a fireplace and a coal stove, kitchen and two dining areas, a formal and an informal one, wardrobe, greenhouse (jardin d’hiver) with wet bar, tables and chairs, as well as direct access to the South terraces.

On the ground floor as well, with independent entrance on the West side of the complex and independent yard, are the Guest Quarters, for staff or guests with living/dining room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom, at present not rented and not included in this offering though their use may be discussed prior to booking.

Finally, the Tower itself, yet an independent Quarter with independent entrance through an exterior stairway. comprises living room with fireplace, bedroom with bathroom. On the second floor of the tower, an open space of 450 sq ft (approx. 45 sq meters) that will be remodeled as a study, living room bedroom . From this space a stairway leads to the roof ot the Tower, a sun roof with absolutely astounding panoramic views of the Arno Valley. The Tower is as well and not included in this offering, though again its use may be discussed prior to booking.

I am open to discussion in reference to pets, use of extra living space beyond the Master Quarters, sofa beds for extra guests, extra housekeeping, longer rentals periods, guided tours, events, even groups, etc.

As they say in real estate, it is a matter of location!

see section on Transportation below

We are 15 km from Florence going North, may reach it driving or by train (station 3 km from property or so, ~ 20 minutes train ride to Florence central station, heart of town, on frequent trains, 2 EUR fare, free parking at the Sieci station). Florence arts, museums, churches, sinagogue, restaurants, boutiques within hands' reach!

Going South (Tower is on the Northern edge of the Chianti region) - all the Chianti vineyards are accessible with short drives or rides - organized tours are available - wine tasting in the wineries and wine purchasing, as well as tasting and purchasing "Extra virgin olive oil", the real one!

Property wise, a XIII century Tower!

Tuscany hills and villages, within the Southern edge of the Florence Metropolitan area and the Northern edge of the Chianti Region.

Well connected to everywhere, yet peacefull rolling hills with vineyards, terraced olive trees (we have 350 of those in our property, plus cypresses, oaks and pines), chateaux, meadows, hidden eateries-pearls or Chianti region wineries and wine-tasting.

When driving or biking, it is from village to village, from litlle restaurant to small trattoria, typically non-touristy places, priced accordingly
