Tzununa is an untouched and authentic Kaqchikel village. Much quieter and with less hustle and bustle than the other lake towns, Tzununa is an undiscovered gem, full of charm and tranquility. Yet to be developed into a tourist hub, you are likely to hear only the sounds of children playing or church singing, with a chorus of insects at night.
If hiking and nature is your thing, there are a multitude of different walks of varying difficulty for you to tackle. A stunning waterfall lies only 25 minutes away, and there is the famous Jailbalito hike with amazing views across the lake.
You can order smoothies and food here with us, or you can wander to Maya Moon or the Hotel Bamboo for European food and drink with great views and atmosphere. There are also a few local restaurants for cheap and easy options for food
