My place is close to The Capitol , Olympia downtown with restaurants and shopping, .1 mile from two different trails, and easy access to the highway. You’ll love my place because of the location, the high ceilings, and we are just 60 miles from Seattle, a few hours from the beach, 100 miles from Portland, OR, and an easy day trip to the Olympic Peninsula which is full of outdoor adventures and fantastic day hikes. My place is good for families with children over the age of 4, and small pets.
We are looking for singles, couples, or families with school-aged children. We have steps, a house that is not child-proof, and we live on a semi-busy street with no fence. Smoking outside on the porch is okay. Our yard is not fenced but your small pet is welcome. You are welcome to invite your family to visit you while you stay here, but no large parties or events please.

I am from Missouri, and my husband is from Maine, and moving to Washington state in 1992 was the second Maine-Missouri compromise.
We fell in love with Washington state but were still pulled toward the northern woods of Maine so we bought a small cabin on Lake Ambejejus and spend as much of our summers there as possible. As teachers at the local community college, we have a lot of free time in the summer.
I love to hike and do lots of day hikes in the Olympic Peninsula in the spring and fall and then multi-day trips during the summer. I have hiked the 100-mile wilderness twice, this year I will finish hiking the length of Maine and will do the Long Trail in Vermont next summer.
I feel lucky to live in two states that have so much wilderness to explore.
