Clean, convenient and affordable, this condo is the perfect home base for your vacation ventures, business trips or family visits in the Midcoast area.
This no fuss condo has a fully equipped kitchen (sorry, no dishwasher), a dining area that seats four and a living area that opens up to a small patio with grill and a huge lawn in back. The master bedroom is in front and its windows look out onto the parking area of the building and the pool beyond. It has a queen bed, a large dresser with mirror and a big closet. The smaller bedroom has a single bed and an equally big closet and just enough space for a little reading nook. There’s a TV with basic cable (which includes PBS) and an, albeit slow, internet connection. Since the building used to be a motel it has sprinkler systems throughout.
Should you need it, there is laundromat right down the street.
Servicios y zonas comunes
After you pick up your key at our Bed & Breakfast in Waldoboro - which is 10 minutes up the road – you’re on your own. The whole place is yours, including the patio in back. You’ll share access to the pool with the other people in the building and you can use the large lawn in back that stretches all the way down to the river, though it’s a little easier to get to the water from the Whaleback Shell Midden, a 2,500-year-old oyster shell midden located next door.
Atención a los huéspedes
I live nearby and am always accessible by phone, however since we’re in a Bermuda triangle for cell phones for some reason, we only have a landline. Messages will be returned promptly, usually within a couple of hours, but I cannot promise instant access and I do not text. Relax, you’re in the country now ;)
We require a 7 night minimum stay with turnover on Saturdays and the maximum number of guests is limited to three. Your lease begins at 4 p.m. on the check-in date of the reservation and ends at 10 a.m. on the checkout date. You can pick up the keys at Le Vatout Bed & Breakfast, 218 Kaler’s Corner Street in Waldoboro, just ten minutes up the road, but we can make a different arrangement if you wish. Since Maine charges a 9% lodging tax, please bring a checkbook or sufficient cash to settle with us when you arrive. Please note, parking is limited to one vehicle and there is no daily housekeeping service. We do provide linens and towels, but they must stay at the house, so please bring your own beach towels for the pool. Before your departure please straighten out the place and leave the dishes washed and put away. No need to make the beds; we’ll take care of the linens after you leave. And please be mindful of your neighbors; quiet time is 10:00 p.m. Plus, this one from the legal eagles (Sorry, hate to be so formal, but since I’m doing this for my dear friend I have to): The owner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises nor can the owner be responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
Hi there, this is the Dominika half of the host name; Ronnie is my dear friend whom I've known for almost 40 years. He's in Tennessee this summer, taking care of the grand kids, and I've volunteered to be the host for his place on Airbnb.
I've lived on Midcoast Maine for almost ten years now, in Waldoboro where I have a B&B called Le Vatout, and I'm loving it. Unconditionally. The food, the art, the people, and this enormous thing called Nature which informs everything you do. They even have real bookstores here!!! I can't say it often enough: this place is paradise.
