Información sobre este anuncio

Intimate enough for a romantic getaway, or large enough for a family get-together. Just outside of Puerto Angel, a small fishing village surrounding a picturesque bay on the Pacific coast of Oaxaca, Mexico.
Closest airport is Huatulco.

El alojamiento

10 minutes outside of town, Casa Sol a Sol sits atop a hill overlooking the beautiful aquamarine bay of Estacahuite.
Terraces on all sides have stunning views of mountains, the bay of Puerto Angel and miles of coastline.
Watch amazing sunrises over the ocean, and gorgeous sunsets. Schools of dolphins, fish and whales swim by.
Puerto Angel is a fishing village, not a typical tourist destination. No nightclubs or parasailing. It's all about the tranquil beaches, fresh seafood, snorkeling, surfing, fishing, beach restaurants, and warm people.
Amazing 360 degree ocean and mountain views. Swimming pool, hammocks, terraces, gardens, all with ocean view. 7 minute walk to beautiful beaches with fresh seafood palapa restaurants.
The best airport to fly into is Huatulco.
There's a guide at the house to restaurants, beaches and other things to do in and about Puerto Angel. You'll get your own personal copy!
The last 200 yards of the road to the house is UNPAVED. It's always VERY bumpy, but during the rainy season, even more so!!! Keep the tires on the high places, with the ruts in between!
NO HOT WATER, as with most accomodations in Puerto Angel, sorry, !!
(water heaters just rust away in the salty air!)
3 bedrooms. (2 upstairs, 1 downstairs)
1 full bed in each upstairs bedroom, with attached bathrooms.
2 single beds outside on the upstairs terrace.
2 double beds in downstairs bedroom, separate bathroom.
All beds have mosquito nets, if you choose to use them.
There is a crib available.
Floor fans in all rooms. (No A.C., it would just rust from the salt air!)

First thing I'm gonna (URL HIDDEN) bring sunblock and make sure you wear it. Do not, I repeat, do not leave the house without it even if it looks cloudy because if you do, your skin will pay for it. About the place: a group of friends and I spent the most amazing vacation ever. The house is great, it has everything you need and the decor is very charming typical Mexican style. The scenery is perfect, it reminded me of the Greek island Santorini as the house is on a hilltop overlooking the pacific and a beautiful serene secluded beach. Just the perfect place to relax and disconnect yourself from the world. Getting to the place is a bit of a challenge and it feels like you are driving to the middle of nowhere but once you are there it is well worth it. At first we were worried about the safety of going to an unfamiliar place that was off the beaten path but we soon realized that everything would be fine and Veronica made us feel at home. I don't know how to describe the place other than paradise and perfect for a family or friends vacation. The beach is about a 10 min walk and it is gorgeous. The town is about a 10 min drive and it has a few restaurants if you want to grab a bite. What we decided to do is buy groceries and cook our own food so we could spend as much time as possible enjoying the paradise without any stress. The house is fully furnished with everything you need including all the dishes and appliances except microwave because why not cook all your meals from scratch if you have the time. Wifi was a bit slow but there is a strong cellular signal if you are using Telcel (Mexican provider). Also, we rented a car which made it a lot easier to explore the surrounding beach towns which is also worth it. To summarize I can't thank Megan and Rich enough for sharing their little piece of paradise and are very much looking forward to returning one day for another relaxing vacation! :)

Wonderful house and Stunning view! We had a great week enjoying this rustic but very confortable house. There is not air conditioning neither hot water, but you would not feel it's need; as a matter of fact it is very nice to sleep with the breeze at night. The house is well equipped with a great charcoal (were we prepared most of our dinners). But there is also regular kitchen with stove and oven to cook normally. You can go to the beach walking through a trial down and up, however we went by car as per the small children. The view is just incredible at day and night; from the house you can see the sunrise and sunset as per it's high location.... we even saw a whale one day (we were very lucky). Our favor beach was San Agustinillo, if you rent a car it is very easy to move around (for us it was a must to have the rented car).

We really enjoyed our time at Casa Sol a Sol. The views are amazing and the house relaxing. We did not have a car but got around fine by taxi. A little Spanish is a must as very few people spoke English. The people of Puerto Angel were lovely. We loved the beach near the house - best for snorkeling. The taco place & rotisserie chicken in town were delicious! We ate many camaron as well. Vero was amazing and helped us organize a boat trip as well as cooked us a fabulous lobster dinner Hope to return soon

Even though I'm home in Canada, my mind is still in Casa Sol a Sol. It was the most beautiful place to wake up in and we were pinching ourselves everyday. The house is situated high above the ocean with an amazing wrap-around terrace on the upper floor of the house. You can watch the sunrise from your bed and the sunset from one of the many hammocks. There are birds, iguanas, gekkos, hummingbirds and beautiful flowers everywhere. The beach below the house is a fun place to swim, eat seafood and have a chill drink. We would walk into town on some days to spend the day at Playa Pantheon which was by far our favorite beach (Mazunte was beautiful but....) The snorkelling and swimming there was really nice and safe. There is a grocery store near Playa Pantheon that sells wine, good coffee, fresh fruits etc. The three bedrooms in the house were very comfortable and it was convenient for our party of four to have three bathrooms. There are little stores nearby if you need to buy beers or lime flavoured potato chips. We all wish we learned better Spanish so we could have talked more with Veronica. She was always available to help and her little dog Mickey was such a sweet angel. If you like listening to the ocean at night, watching the sky instead of TV, having your soul soothed and generally feeling like you're alive, then this is the place for you!

Hello Sylvie! I don't speak French (wish I did!) so I'm hoping that was a good review! There used to be a translating tool on here but I can't find it! You were wonderful guests, and are welcome back any time! (Unless that was a bad review! ; )

With views rivaling the Big Sur and Amalfi Coasts, Casa Sol is a very special place. It's rare to find a home that matches its spectacular setting, but Megan and Rich have achieved it while being sensitive to the environment as well as Oaxaca's culture. We had no car and spent much of ten days at the house and despite not having TV (WIFI was consistently good) we were not bored for a second. We were entertained by the shifting tides down below and the lunar cycle that included a solar eclipse. Puerto Angel is not a culinary capital but we found fresh fish and vegetables and made use of the oversized kitchen enjoying cooking while watching the sun go down. The house sits above perhaps the best snorkeling beach on the Oaxacan coast and the 30 or so species of reef fish dazzled me daily. Whales and turtles off shore were other surprises. If you're a nature lover who also appreciates a wonderful Mexican home you will be happy here as we were.
