We live on 1 acre of flat land in the south hills of Eugene, close to all the University of Oregon has to offer, yet quiet and peaceful and safe. Our land is filled with flowers and trees, with ample chairs to enjoy the outside 3 seasons of each year (since we have covered patios).

We have safe off-street parking, and an enclosed garage for bike parking too. We provide fresh eggs and produce (in season). Recycling is picked up at the curb.
Laundry use can be arranged for longer stays. Wi-Fi internet is free and fast. A private covered patio in the back is for guests.

As much privacy or interaction with hosts as desired. One of us works from home, so we are commonly available to answer questions or provide tips for enjoying Eugene. We have maps and tourist info available as well.

Southeast Eugene is far enough from the center of town to be quiet and peaceful--we live in an urban forest. However, we are a easy walk or quick bike ride to the University of Oregon and to shopping. We are close to many miles of hiking and bike paths, plus climbs to Spencer's Butte and Mt. Pigs. One of the nicest terraces with the best coffee in Eugene is the Hideaway Bakery, a few blocks away. We are close to a wine bar/cafe and to a few excellent restaurants and two natural grocery stores.

Bus #28 goes from the bottom of the hill (1 1/2 blocks) to the downtown bus station. Eugene buses go everywhere around the county -- including into the mountains. Walking/running trails are close by and also traverse the county -- hiking is possible throughout Eugene. We can arrange bike rentals if needed. There is ample off-street parking -- even for a camper.

We have one dog, Josephine D. Baker III, a golden doodle who lives mostly inside our house or is outside in a separate yard. We have chickens ( all hens) who are happy to share their eggs with you. The garden produces enough (in season) to share as well.

La hora de llegada es a partir de las 12:00

Please observe quiet hours between 10 pm and 6 am. No smoking of any kind in the unit or on the property. We would appreciate it if you would recycle. Washer/dryer can be made available if you are staying for a while. You can store your bikes either in the garage or carport -- do not leave outside--bike theft is the most common crime in Eugene. If you are a runner/walker, you are welcome to take our dog Josephine with you. At the end of your stay, please take out the garbage and strip the bed linens. Leave laundry on bathroom floor.

Absolutely fantastic hosts! I was incredibly lucky to have stayed with them. I felt comfortable, welcomed, and I always knew how to get in touch if I needed something. Really wonderful experience and a great place to stay for a long weekend or an extended business trip!

Jule kindly greeted me on my arrival and gave me a tour of the space and amenities. Very quiet, cozy, comfortable, clean accommodation. I was there for an extended stay and would have loved to have used the patio, but rains of the record making kind precluded that! Both Jule and Anita were very responsive to questions/concerns.

Great location close to UO. We needed to be on campus everyday & Jule's place was a very easy 7 minute drive. The place was perfect. It had the 2 main things important to me: a comfortable bed and it was very clean. Everything was described correctly. It was such an enjoyable stay that it will be my first choice when returning to Eugene. We loved the fresh eggs from the chickens out back & the friendly dog.

Our stay in Jule's comfy little apartment was absolutely delightful. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the garden-filled grounds offered an invitation to relax with a good book and a cool drink. We rode our bikes all over town from their convenient location, and enjoyed sharing our adventures when we returned. This place is a gem!

Our host was waiting for us the day we checked in with a great welcome. She showed us around and asked if we had any questions. The neighborhood was beautiful. The cottage was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the setting was very quiet. We slept very well. The property was beautiful with wonderful patios with alot of flowers and greenery. They even had chickens. The only thing i was missing which I didnt have room to pack was a blow dryer. I would recommend this cottage to anyone. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Our first stay in an air bnb!

Jule and Anita were excellent and gracious hostesses. They made me feel welcome, were happy to give plenty of recommendations for local coffee shops, eateries and other landmarks, and were excellent conversation. The lodging was clean and the patio area was a nice place to sit outside and read a book. Would stay with them again, no doubt.

The listing was accurate. The neighborhood feels very safe, even walking late at night.

We are world travelers, growing up and visiting multiple countries. Oregon became our home base several decades ago - minus a 5-year sojourn to Maui.
Airbnb is our new favorite way to travel -- we used it happily inside a church in Haarlem, The Netherlands, and again in Denmark. Here we have used a lovely room in Ashland as our base to see plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

We enjoy visitors from all around the world -- either daily, by the week or by the month. This is a great way to build community.
