We live on 1 acre of flat land in the south hills of Eugene, close to all the University of Oregon has to offer, yet quiet and peaceful and safe. Our land is filled with flowers and trees, with ample chairs to enjoy the outside 3 seasons of each year (since we have covered patios).
Servicios y zonas comunes
We have safe off-street parking, and an enclosed garage for bike parking too. We provide produce (in season). Recycling is picked up at the curb.
Laundry use can be arranged for longer stays. Wi-Fi internet is free and fast. A private covered patio in the back is for guests.
Atención a los huéspedes
As much privacy or interaction with hosts as desired. One of us works from home, so we are commonly available to answer questions or provide tips for enjoying Eugene. We have maps and tourist info available as well.
Otros aspectos destacables
We have one dog, Josephine D. Baker III, a golden doodle who lives mostly inside our house or is outside in a separate yard. The garden produces enough (in season) to share as well.
Please observe quiet hours between 10 pm and 6 am. No smoking of any kind in the unit or on the property. We would appreciate it if you would recycle. Washer/dryer can be made available if you are staying for a while. You can store your bikes either in the garage or carport -- do not leave outside--bike theft is the most common crime in Eugene. If you are a runner/walker, you are welcome to take our dog Josephine with you. At the end of your stay, please take out the garbage and strip the bed linens. Leave laundry on bathroom floor.
We are world travelers, growing up and visiting multiple countries. Oregon became our home base several decades ago - minus a 5-year sojourn to Maui.
Airbnb is our new favorite way to travel -- we used it happily inside a church in Haarlem, The Netherlands, and again in Denmark. Here we have used a lovely room in Ashland as our base to see plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
We enjoy visitors from all around the world -- either daily, by the week or by the month. This is a great way to build community.
