Awesome location! It was our first time in the area and was a short drive to Big Trees State Park and Alpine lake. Lots of great hiking at both these places. We stayed in the glamping site and it was very well maintained. Glamping helped us cut our cargo in half for other gear in my small coupe. Vicky was very helpful with advice and told us about a quick walk to a vista point right behind the lodge. We would definitely recommend and come back again!

Vicky was away so her parents hosted us and we found them to be warm and welcoming. We feel privileged to have experienced the remote and beautiful location. Regret that we didn't have more time to fish all the rivers and lakes. If getting off the beaten track is your thing - this ranks the best in our experience. One can walk tracks without meeting any other hikers.
