My place is close to wonderful swimming holes, hiking, biking skiing. Trout fishing is on the property abundantly. (5 minutes). This rustic and relaxing camping area is only 20 minutes to Lincoln/ Woodstock attractions, and is an excellent base camp for adventures. Live music every weekend at a very earthy eatery, The Greenhouse, just 10 minutes away. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and furry friends (pets).

El alojamiento

Come sleep next to the babbling Baker River. My rustic retreat is the perfect spot for those looking for a true White Mountains experience. Please bring your own sleeping bag, and pad. I supply a space to rest your head. It will accommodate a full size air mattress. A shared outlet is available near the Porta-john 150' away for air pumps.

Servicios y zonas comunes

You are welcome to enjoy your camping area and direct access to the Baker River. Please do respect other guest buildings on the property. A trail leads to a swimming hole near your parking.

Atención a los huéspedes

I've lived here almost my entire life, save for a few years tearing up the slopes in Colorado, and traveling through Europe. I'm just as happy to share local tips as I am to let you enjoy simple solitude.

Otros aspectos destacables

Please be cautious of bears. I do have a local 4 year old Black Bear in the area. He is kind and never comes here. Please do not leave any trash behind, or pour cooking grease in the woods. Please buy very local wood. Self-pay driveway sales can be found on my road in either direction. I may have dry kindling at the info board, Just beyond your parking.

Aspectos que también debes tener en cuenta

Great place to get off the grid with zero cell service. We had fantastic weather, slept perfectly with sleeping bags and air mattress.

Had a great time at the lean to. Great place to get away from it all. There is no cell service however there is a pizza place in town with wifi. Eric was friendly and responsive, and the lean to fit a full size blow up mattress perfectly. It rained while we were there but the lean to protected our things from rain, even though it's screened in. I'd recommend it as a way to enjoy your surroundings and unplug for a couple days. The river is feet away from the camp, and there's cool walks in the surrounding area.

Everything is as described. no bugs, clean lean to, and walkable distance to nice hiking trails around. Also, it’s right in front of crystal clear water. Eric is such a wonderful host with helpful local information. I would definitely go back to this place for next time!

Place was amazing! Slept and woke to the same sound of the river The unit I stayed was the "riverside lean-to". It somehow I thought it was "riverside" which is actually another spot for camping. So I spent 30minutes in the dark searching around "riverside" and couldn't find the shed. Then I realized it must be "lean-to" and I made my way out of the woods and found that it was just after the entrance on the road. Other than that, beautiful place, amazing surroundings - lots of privacy and solitude. I really liked the mushroom book there, hundreds of mushrooms you could find in NE area!

Eric's property was beautiful and well maintained. The multiple campsites were each quite charming. It was a lovely place and I would stay there again.
