Our women's group loved Grandma's House! We appreciated the spaciousness and how we could all be together for the weekend, but not feel crowded. The land is lovely, though we didn't explore it fully. Fishing was done. Paddle boats were paddled. We saw lots of birds and a snapping turtle. I think we spent most of our time in the "porch" room because we loved the feeling of being in a tree house. There was a real sense that the space was being tended to provide a good experience for guests. The only drawback was the noisy paraplanes(?) on Saturday evening. Luckily, they abided by the 10pm quiet hours restriction. We'll be back!

Respuesta de Ronora:
Thank you for the feedback about the sport paraplanes. They were not rented from us, and we have not had them be an issue ever before. I did see one very close to the ground on Friday night as I was driving home in downtown Watervliet. Unfortunately, we can not control the air space above Ronora.

We felt very welcome coming in as we ran into to Ora. She was accomadating to our party and was very nice. Grandma's house was nice for the amount of people we had. It was a tad old smelling when we walked in but when the windows were opened it was perfect and it stayed cool in there. We had fun riding the paddle boats. Thanks for everything! --

Welcome to Ronora. This land is my home, my work, and many more things. The land is like a grandmother to me. We have preserved this camp to the best of our ability over 25 years, keeping up and maintaining most of the original construction houses. It's a diverse place with several types of buildings, types of soils, types of land (wetland, fields, forests, lake), and most importantly a wide variety of guests over the years. As Dr. Henry Tatter, the founder of the camp in the 1930s said, Ronora is a place where you can "feel Mother Earth, sense her balance and find your own."
